My husband 3D prints the links for the straps, which I cover with leather and make the straps. But even these details, which are hidden from view, look more presentable than your watch.

My husband said this watch case took three grams of plastic and no more than 15 minutes of printing. Moreover, he showed a site where you can buy such a model for a couple of dozen dollars

Or for free

I would encourage you to read back and click on any links you may have found in my posts.

Additionally, please let your husband know Oascom is printing at 0.12mm layer height, two walls, 15% infil, and with four colors with automated color changes. If Oascom made this black it would take closer to 15 minutes, but because Oascom has everything fully automated, multi-color printing, it takes about an hour including printer calibration, filament purging (16 according to the machine). I believe with the filament purges the amount of plastic is closer to 13 grams. Your husband is correct however on weight... The total weight of just the finished product is 2.67 grams, very close to his estimated 3 grams! Here's a screenshot Oascom sent me:

Based on this analysis, and the high complexity of this piece in my mind makes it worth $8k I paid Oascom.

Honestly, I started reading the thread and got bored. I flipped a lot of pages so I lost the link, sorry.

Based on your thoughts, I realized that I should reconsider the price list for my lanyards. I assure you that I spend much more expensive materials and dozens of hours to create my pieces. The last of my straps took me about three weeks to make and made less than one hundred and fifteen hundred dollars
😂

Fuck me!!
You pricks are turning this thread into a cock swinging contest…. Stick your 3D prints up your arse

What we really want to know is… has @Oascom the thieving cunt made good on this shit yet?

Jeeeeezus!!!
Sorry for the threadcrapping. Here's a summary based on the last 19 pages of what I saw. This is all public information and not anything private shared with the mods. Just for this thread. Ask the members to update you if you want. I know themaxx25 got a package, but didn't see yet if he opened. Maybe he has an update? The "Received" column is VERY telling...

UserPricePostReceived?
@Guiltycat$3.2k No, paid in July. "watch will be finished soon"
@dynastydoc"thousands of my dollars" No, stopped responded October.
@themaxx25? "I will know later today if I have to open a ticket or not..."
@aHero? Tracking received! "I am receiving my order in the mail today (it was due to arrive yesterday but there was a delay by USPS). I will report back once the watch is in my hands."
@Vietkidd05? " Pat has shown me proofs of all my built... ... tracking will be provided once he's done"
@aHero? "I received tracking but no movement of said tracking yet"
@dixon12876$6k "He was supposed to ship it out last week, but suddenly vanished."

I would like to extend my gratitude to the RWI staff for their intervention in resolving the situation. I received my order from Pat today, and with that, I can finally close this chapter of my replica collecting journey.

Now that my order has been delivered, I feel it's appropriate to share more about my experience.

I am a returning customer of Pat, and while his communication has historically been slow, I have always received my orders. However, my most recent order took significantly longer than expected, with weeks and even months passing without any updates from Pat. This lack of communication, especially in light of his posts on Instagram promoting new dials while my order remained unfulfilled, left me feeling quite frustrated. That said, thanks to the support of other community members and the RWI staff, my order has now been completed.

While I cannot speak to whether Pat personally manufactures every dial, I can confirm that some of the dials he offers are either custom-made or modified in ways that set them apart from typical offerings from Chinese dealers or modders. Some of the dials I've received truly appear to be unique, one-of-one designs (whether one appreciates the aesthetic or the quality is subjective…I happen to think the below designs are fugly).

To be completely honest, I do believe there is room for improvement, particularly with the dial printing, which I am not entirely satisfied with. However, I am not aware of any other custom dial makers or modders that are as trusted within the RWI community as Pat (was), even though such alternatives may exist.

In conclusion, despite the challenges with communication and delivery, Pat’s work remains distinctive (good or bad).

I hate to add insult to injury but these dials just don't look good. The subdial print, the main dial print, the hands, is just all not good. BUT... THIS IS TYPICAL OF ALL HIS DIALS. It's always there, always apparent. This is the robbery I've felt existed forever. His dials should be heavily discounted NOT marked up the way they are. Everyone can see this!

How did Oascom become a trusted modder to begin with? Genuinely curious. It's clear that most of the staff feel some type of way about his work/value.

For what it's worth, I don't intend to do business with Pat again.

Great question!
Oascom initially earned their reputation as a trusted provider of custom dials by delivering innovative work when he first entered the scene. His early projects appealed to this hot button area that the community was desiring, and his dials showed some promise.

Over time, however, the quality and consistency of his work did not progress at the pace expected by our standards or the evolving expectations of the community. The gap between initial promise and subsequent performance has understandably led to mixed opinions about their current value and contributions. This was communicated to him more frequently, especially this year.

We always strive to maintain transparency and uphold high standards for trusted modders in this community. Oascom's story serves as a reminder that trust is not only earned but also needs to be consistently maintained.
