Are you a customer? Have you asked for your money back? Has he rejected your request? Is there anyone out there who actually has a) requested a refund? And been denied? b) will not receive their work/money after he's agreed to speed up and deliver on his work orders.



Are you a customer? Have you asked for your money or stuff back? Has he rejected your request? Or are you just assuming so based on the sheer hyperbole on this (still open) thread?

There are people literally on here that say they have received their watch or got updates. Yes it took the Mods to step in but we already know that. This has been my point all along.
On June 11, he told me he needs about 2 weeks to make a dial and that he has slices. I paid in full for a dial the next day(Not to mention I know someone here bought the same meteorite GMT dial from him in July and paid 200 less than I did) .

I sent Oascom a message on Nov 21 via instagram and another on Nov 24th on RWI and another on Nov 26th via email(he hasn't responded to me on his own website since Oct 14) that said if the job couldn't be completed very soon, I'd ask that my watch and money be returned. To this moment he has not responded to me at all. Seeing all this I just sent him another message on his website asking for refund and return. Him ignoring me is arguably worse than denial because he is just ghosting me. That's something people do when they scammed you...

Hey @Oascom, why have you not responded to this gentleman and why not refund him in full and send him back his watch?

You're right that we don't know what's up behind the scenes. But why can't he issue refunds to people who requested it.....

I actually asked if he could refund me on the 17th of October and never got a reply.

I only got a reply when I opened a HDT and sent an email with an admin in the CC. And in that email conversation I asked for a refund on the 21st of November. So I’ve asked twice

I really don’t know why you’re trying so hard to defend his actions

In terms of righteous indignation honestly I have seen worse.

However let me try to put this whole brigging in context. I have known @trailboss99 and @daytona4me for about seven years. I talk to them on a daily basis. In that time I have seen them frustrated, annoyed, disheartened and even angered by various dealers and members who have preyed on our members. We have put so many countermeasures in place but they still keep coming.

What I have not seen is this level of anger about a situation. @Oascom was given a trusted spot here and it has been heavily abused. So much leeway has been given already and it was just time to say enough was enough. As far back as July we were aware that he lost it with one member because they spoke out about him. He even told an Admin this far back that none of the problems were related to members on RWI. Over the last few months we have seen this is clearly not the case because of the amount of HelpDesk tickets made by our members for substantial amounts. A lot of staff have been involved. If you know RWI then you know it takes a lot for established members to question the practices of a Trusted Vendor and even more to escalate it to the HelpDesk.

My only hope is that this is not a scamming situation. He has posted here (although he saw fit to post on Reddit first) also I see that some completed repairs have been returned so this gives me a lot of hope. I truly hope all members are made right and either refunded or do get their builds done in a timely manner. I know watch makers are very busy and it can take months to get a build or even repairs done. When people are made aware of this they are usually OK with it. I have been made aware that lead times are posted on his website however surely he should have made people aware that it will take a long time instead of promising a timeline and then ghosting people after that timeline has elapsed.

I want to give a quick update on my situation with my orders with Pat. As of this afternoon, Pat has shown me proofs of all my built and work are now completed!! I am now working with him to set up my shipping options, and tracking will be provided once he's done with packaging them up.
As far as this whole situation, it is very saddening that it has gotten to this point. I know our Admins did not want to spend their time or had to follow up with all the help tickets that they get. I truly applauded them for their time and work, not just in this situation, but for the whole forum as well.
For the last couple of days Pat has apologized to me multiple times amd knew that he had fumbled big time. I did accept his apology.
I know he did get more orders done as well during this week for other members, and this is great news. Because I know it was a relief for me. I hope for this situation to be resolve soon for everyone and pray the the best.

Maybe Oascom only has a $20 budget for him — that's about as far as "online marketing" can stretch for twenty bucks. Plus, let’s be real, he doesn’t have $35k+ lying around to clean up the mess he left behind if things really go south.

No shame here. Some of the behaviour on here in terms of wild accusations as to motive and intent is shameful. Especially against someone who in the past has produced great work, provided tutorials, and is one of the best watchsmiths in terms of quality.
