Alright good news everyone... I was really worried Oascom had taken my money too, but I just received in the mail a custom Casio F-91W (RWI x Oascom collaboration). I paid $8k USD for it. Do you think this price was fair for the work performed? And big thanks to @trailboss99 for your collaboration with @Oascom on this special project!

Very much agreed. I just don't understand why you'd want to spend that kind of money on a fake.

When I was a kid, my next-door neighbor built a Jag E Type from the ground up - on a ford chassis IIRC.

He was utterly convinced it was real. I never understood it.

Edit: I actually only understand ONE reason, and that is fraud - something that we would never do. Right?
“That kind of money” is relative. People spend $20k+ on reps. That’s unfathomable to me.

I’ve spent $2k on a single rep. First starting out in this hobby, that seemed insane. Now that price tag doesn’t shock me much at all.

We all get into reps for different reasons. For some, it’s the thrill of the pursuit of the build regardless of the cost.

A rep modded with gen parts is still a rep IMO.

I actually don't know what this guy charges for custom dials. I'm afraid to look now.
Sure, never suggested otherwise. I am just saying for me there is no point in modding a rep with more rep parts because the whole point of modding is to get as close to gen as possible, at least in terms of the tangible aspects, so that I can decide if I would enjoy wearing the gen enough to justify the expense and take wrist time away from my other gens.

IDK, I like making unique builds that I wouldn't in a 1000 years do on a gen.

I agree, and I have modded plenty of gen Seikos that cost no more than a high-end rep anyway. Obviously not going to do the same to a PP, VC or AP (an easily reversible intervention like putting a rep bracelet on my VC Overseas which only comes with a rubber strap notwithstanding)

Okay, this joke just got a little more serious.

I now have approval from @trailboss99 to auction off the watch in M2M. Make your bids there! All proceeds go to RWI!

I know I'll probably be called a party pooper again, but this deflection is kinda letting him off the hook.

A fun idea I agree, and the best of luck, but he doesn't deserve a moments reprieve until all our members get their goods and / or money back.

He didn't give our members a second thought when he took their money/goods and then ignored them, prompting numerous HDTs & ultimately this Brig thread.

Anything to update @Oascom ?

Not a party pooper mate, doing the job as a mod.
Rest of us lot are doing are duty aimlessly shitposting to an autistic level
(Or in my case, plugging a very talented Ukrainian artist in the DMs. Seriously, happy he's potentially getting more work.)

Hello everyone - have been quiet here for a while but just wanted to share my experience. I commissioned Oascom to create a custom and fully skeletonized Daytona for me. Total cost of the modification was nearly $6k. I was impressed with his craftsmanship so decided to progress. He had been highly responsive working on the project and sent me a number of images and videos along the way. He was supposed to ship it out last week, but suddenly vanished. I sincerely hope that if this is a health issue, he recovers quickly. If not, I would either like a refund or the watch to be shipped out ASAP. Just wanted to say the work that he has done looks incredible from the pics and videos. I will keep folks posted if I receive shipment confirmation.
