Yeah, it was a test.

So i can't upload pics from my mobile app and i can't make a photobucket account to upload the pics manually.

Well this sucks. Any suggestions ?

Have you tried using the app called "tapatalk"? Apparently you are using the RWI mobile app.

So is the Plastic + 1.8mm Springbars the answer?

I couldn't push the 2mm spring bars in, so thinking of order the 1.8mm ones. Don't fancy bending or grinding them.

I'm thinking of also packing them in the hole with a cocktail stick as another poster has recommended...

I think so yes. I used the 2.0mm because i was eager to fix the sel and didn't want to wait until i got new springbars .

The best looking solution imo is to use thinner springbars like u said, plastic or whatever works for you as a SEL spacer and something to jam in along the springbar so it sits firmly in the sel without any play at all.

I think you have to fix the thinner springbar closer to the upperside of the watch/sel ( dial side), not the back. Hope i get myself clear..bad english.

Here is what i was able to achieve using the 2mm springbars. On one end i've slightly bent the springbar and grinded the pins and on the other end i've just sharpened the pins(ends) of it with a file.

Still better than what i originaly had but not as good as using thinner springbars imo. Comparing these pics with gen pics i have to admit it's pretty close but still i think i'll go back to my first method.

What do you guys think ?

Oh and also i've fixed the alignament issue of the dial:

Hi Andrei01,

Very nice results. If your SEL are nice and tight don't change anything. It looks superb!

Have you thought about modifying the bezel insert paint? I am looking for a quick and easy method. I know smoke has written a lot about his Anitas Mod and is the best method. I think I don't have his high standards, so I will probably buy a silver or platinum EDDING waterproof marker on amazon or ebay. Doesn't matter to me if the hues are slightly off. For me personally the legibility is more important.

Thanks man!

I think the bezel insert paint is good enaugh. Until i hold a gen i can't tell significant differences from the pics.

no andrei youre right, definitely go back to 1,8mm!
as i mentioned before: recession should rise by going away from case, not against the case!

what u have achieved with 2mm bars is maybe acceptable for 16610 :) , but not for 116610.

there we see the problem of the plastic mod!
now how do i tighten up my 1,8mm modded SEL thatbstill has play without this wrong-way-recession-rise-thing?
simply some tape, ehh?

Did you buy the white or the silver? So far I have hardly worn my BK sub because the bezel markers are so dark.

I bought the silver one. This is totally trial and error method . I have absolutely no idea how this is going turn out. Anyways I will keep you guys updated here.

Sounds good, I'm totally trial and erroring it here too! I just ordered the white one. I was thinking of trying to paint over the factory paint with the white and see how the two colors together will come out?? If not I also bought the Martha's paint to try.

About the paint mod guys:

I think Rolex applies the paint using method similar to vacuum coating imo (aluminizing).

So even if one can match the color the application method will make the bezel look different. I guess the engraving depth will differ as well.

Any other opinions?

Found a funny video an Youtube with a lady using the silver one. Damn, it looks pretty dark. Probably white is the better choice. Let's compare afterwards.
But at least the color seems to dry super fast

If you really want the perfect recess angle you have to grind the back of the sell a little bit. Otherwise the SEL will not touch the watch case on the upper side.

But i guess using the bending method explained above by MoD2Franken you can achive the angle you are looking for.
