As you rightly said the gold text is very poor in intensity and the blue is always tending to purple , same flaw as the previous ones , and in my experience BP dials are larger 27.8/9 vs gen 27.2 for GMT
To confirm of what was written above and as anticipated by @KJ2020 , I confirm from the pics now viewed on TT that both the sparse intensity of the blue and the low brightness of the gold and the lettering , confirms that nothing has changed from the previous version , only the mov VS 3135 has been changed

I'm really interested to see how their crystal's cyclops might look.
Because when I most recently bought one 16613 with the old A3135, the crystal had sublime AR. Cyclops clear as day. The crystal looked nothing like all my other BP crystals which needed to be swapped to gen for a better effect straight away (because I prefer AR crystals, even in five digit watches).
It was such a nice crystal.

Bro the pic you posted is the fantasy all SS "Bluesy" that has no gold text or anything else. But I believe you are right about nothing else changed except the VR3135. Otherwise changes would have been announced or included in listings and there would be a price increase.

Its the 16618 just looking super pale for Trusty's QC lighting being so bright.
I just compared the 16618 new and old on trustys website and the dial looks the same on both. No update that I can see. It wouldve been incredible to have a nice rich dial with contrasting gold text. Man.

I see. Sorry @rangan

This is a good pic to show the faded gold text. I have had some of these dials, they are not good.

Unfortunately it's always the same story that's been going on for years , and I think you just get lucky ;) to buy at the right time the right dial!!!!

In some batches , depending on the color mixing in this case gold it may happen that the pad printing is brighter in others it is duller , in addition to the characters that may be different over the years (see as an example the latest Ruby dials for the 6263 , they have smaller characters and the colors lose their intensity , contrary to the minute scale which is always whiter and thicker ) so it's always a matter of luck in being able to get the most centered dial.

In this case for 16618 nothing has changed for the dial , blue off , gold off , serigraphy of the smaller lettering in the characters

I think I've gotta grab a black 16618 and put a gen serti dial inside. The dial is a fraction too small. So looks a bit silly close up. But it is just a fun-silly watch, for being gold and style but having any weight etc etc so I can easily live with it. Hope you'll all love your BPs too!

I am thinking to buy such 16618 „black“ or „blue“ version.
Only for comparison to my 16618 - aso for dial, finish, gold color/tone…
I am really curious how the actual models are. I have no experience with the older or actual BP 16618.

But BP had in the past very accurate gold tone for their Day-Date Reps which were really amazing good!

Has anybody an info, how long the sourcing time for these 16618 BP is?

BP gold is great, I love the color tone. I will say that out of maybe 10 gold bracelets I've had, a BP 16613 bracelet is the only one that's discolored on me. YMMV.

You might consider a rep Serti dial, Raffles has some but check sizes carefully. The 6 9 12 markers can be inlaid at a jewelry store with fake sapphires or onyx for about $15 apiece. I was going to do this on mine but decided it was good enough for now stock.

I checked with a local jeweller, piece of cake for them to custom cut and glue colored fake stones into the markers. They wanted to know it wasn't for a Rolex dial, no problem to just supply them with loose markers.

@KJ2020 I'd definitely consider a little rep dial for it. At the moment I own some gen serti dials too. I fell in love with them you see. I have this interestingly-coloured gen one that never sold still. I think i'll take it out of it's current housing and plonk it in a black 16618 despite the dial being too small. I won't mind at all. I used to have a BP 16618 and really enjoyed it for what it was. https://forum.replica-watch.info/th...per-startrooper-space-galaxy-patina.10936277/

That's a very interesting dial. It looks like there is already some color difference at the edges so that should help camouflage the tiny amount of exposed unfinished edges a little. I love the 5 digit Serti dials. I was lucky enough to score a 16710 rep Serti years ago that I still have.

Some different inserts

In case I missed it. We still don’t know what dial dimension this “new” BP 5 digits will have right? So no idea if ordering a gen dial yet until it’s confirmed?
