The BP 3135 dials are 27.8mmSo we cannot swap the BP dial with a gen one? Someone tried to put a gen dial on and can confirm if fit or not?
A gen 5 digit Sub (and GMT) dial is 27.3mm.
The BP 3135 case rehaut opening is right at 27.2mm. So on paper a gen dial could fit if the movement was placed exactly centered and anchored so well so as to be immobile.
In practice, this is a totally frustrating effort that can easily lead to scratched dial edges or scraping away parts of the minute tics. Shown below is a gen 16713/8 dial placed in a BP 3135 16610 case for demonstration purposes. Some of what you see in the first two pics is light reflections at the dial edges but in the third pic you can see that the dial outside edge is showing through the rehaut opening.
I have done this successfully before with a different dial and case combo but it isn't fun. I custom filed the movement tabs to be exactly the right length to prevent any movement travel and wedged some dial protector plastic strips (can also used thinned crystal gasket pieces) in between the case and the movement.
