The only thing that bothers me a bit is that the 44mm I like have open caseback

Most 26470 and open caseback frankens are cute custom novelty pieces, with a significant lack of inaccuracy once the watch is turned over: either a solid caseback where there shouldn’t be or the wrong caliber/rotor being used.

But the one quetip has mentioned has a gen caliber and rotor and a watch an irresponsible owner can pass it off as gen without papers in a secondhand dealer. Different caliber of watch altogether from most of the frankens seen here.

I don't post pictures. But legend knows the piece well and can attest it was a great piece :qtip2:. It has gen dial, tachy (methinks), hands, crystal and full gen movement incl. rotor bearing.

If your goal is to make the watch look accurate from the caseback T then what you need is a gen movement and rotor. There is no substitute. :hehehe:
