New Sub up on Toros - Noob V2?

Thanks, it's the one on its way to me. I just noticed the fact that he doesn't say V2 anywhere on the site and thought that surely if it was the V2, he'd write that to capitalise on it.
Next round...
Now, here's the new set of QC pics of my V2 Hulk.
1) Must I say anything about the SEL fitting?! Geezuz...!
2) Also not 100% sure about the pearl being centered perfectly; probably just the angle of the shot - but better safe than sorry with QC pics, huh?
3) Bezel insert sits a liiiiittle funky too, IMO. Rides high and low? Compare upper side with lower side.
4) What is that smear sitting beneath the coronet on the clasp?
5) No sunburst dial to be seen...? But I guess that is just the lightning. Can anybody confirm sunburst on the V2 dial?
6) And why oh why can they not send high res pics (as they did with the picture set of the wrong V1 Hulk, see above...), and where this the shot of the clasp inside that I've explicitely asked for. I mean, what is so effing difficult about that?!? Obviously the TD is struggling ATM with demand, or maybe with new employees who seem not to be on par...?
"Other than that" this is a stunner, indeed!

I think the watch looks ok, of course there are faults, but it's a rep.
I would happily accept that...............if only my TD could get his hands on another V2 after he rejected the first.
Well, of course it "looks OK" ... but I have a problem with paying top premium dollar for an asian clone movement replica without any complication for just OK?!
Has it obvious glaring faults, are parts falling off? No.
Does it look as perfect/good as some of the V2 units we've seen around here? No.
Do the chinese have higher manufacturing tolerances and are the rep watches therefore (amongst other reasons) so much cheaper than the gens? Yes, of course.
Does that mean one has to settle with an "OK", mediocre or even not-so-good unit out of the recent production run? In my book: No! Because there's only one way to get them to higher QC, less tolerance etc.: In pointing out quality issues, demanding high quality look AND feel, and not by acccepting issues, just "because it's a rep watch".
Aside: I could live with pearl off-centered and/or bezel insert riding high and low, because I can have that fixed locally in a (comparative) jiffy, if need be.
SEL fittings on the other hand are "as they are". No way to fix that without going thru a dozen bracelets, hoping for a tighter one. Pretty expensive, and that whole shizz downright sücks anyhoo.
Smarter would be, the TD in China locally takes care of that and gets better fitting bracelets from the factory....

Nope - same price, higher quality.
Can't see that the HQ reps have gotten that much more and more expensive over the years. Quality on the other hand has risen to unknown heights over the last short 5 years. How come? Altruism of the chinese? Or maybe demand, supply, competition?
I would be happy to accept that Hulk. Cyclops is centered, so is the DWO. The pearl looks fine. All of the ones seen so far have a slight end link gap so that is a model fault not a QC issue. Really it's about as good as it's going to get mate.

Your watch looks good. If its a watch defect, you can reject.
But if its V's defect, them you should have considered this before ordering it.

Honestly... Kind of a letdown.
I have had both, BP and Noob V2 now so please don't tell me how wrong I am. This is simply my opinion. The noob has a much better bracelet. But other than that I liked the BP better. The AR and date mag is far far better on the BP. Wish I hadn't of sold it....

Just winding you up. But in all seriousness, despite wanting one, the V2 is a slight let down to me too. I was hoping for a super rep but I think this is far from it... But then again you just need to look at that BP crown to feel the same way about the BP Sub.
I guess at the end of the day it comes down to personals and how much modding you are able to do to your watch.
The socialist answer would be to BOYCOTT alltogether until factories stop messing us about with version upon version upon version, but we all know that aint gonna happen, so you gotta play the game as it is!!!!

I agree with you completely. I was just so happy with my BP, and when I posted my review, it basically got shitted on by everyone who had the V1, so I think my expectations for the Noob were just way to high. Bottom line, neither are Super Reps, or really even close, and the BP is significantly cheaper.
