The DD3285 is a better choice IMO.

The problems are solved. The screw and rotor problem as well as the lack of waterproofness no longer exist.

I would take the one who can get you a Batman. There seem to be delivery problems with some of the GMTs - Sprite, Pepsi and Batman.

Yes... on the DD3285 (and the VS3235) the balance endshake adjustment screw works. On the SH3285 (and the VR3235) the brass screw simply secures the balance bridge decoration plate.

The brass screw on the dd3285 balance bridge is a Jack screw that allows you to raise or lower that end of the balance bridge. This allows you to adjust the “end shake” of the balance wheel. Basically how much extra space there is between the cap jewels and the ends of the balance wheel pivots. If I remember correctly it should be around 0.05mm (but I haven’t checked the manual so don’t quote me). Too little end shake and the amplitude will be low since the pivots won’t have enough room to run. Too much end shake and the balance wheel will jump around too much and will lose energy (low amplitude).
