Here are the photos I promised to share. The left one is Gen 3285, and the right one is Gen 3235. To be honest, the only difference I could notice was the color. The diameter is exactly the same; I measured that with a caliper.

I have a Gen 3235 balance and bridge in my DD3285. Works perfectly. It's the same exact parts from what I have gathered.Here are the photos I promised to share.
