is it possible to replace the pallet fork of the vr3285 and install the 3235 pallet fork? What benefits can have and what disadvantages?

The stock SH/VR3285 does not have a gen-spec shape pallet fork and it has thick pallet stones - not thinned like gen. It also has a non gen-spec escape wheel (not skeletonized). So I would not bother swapping anything out if it's working acceptably. If either of these parts are swapped in any 32xx rep, it's likely both will need to be gen parts. This was true in a VS/DD3235 that I had to replace the escape wheel on. But not likely a gen pallet fork will even fit in an SH/VR3285 IMO.

I don’t have a vr3235 in front of me, but being that it’s a hybrid 3135 a 3235 pallet fork and escape wheel will not fit as they are vrry different design.

And FWIW I tested a gen 3235 pallet fork and escape wheel in a DD3285 and it works but amplitude suffers greatly. Possibly some jewel adjustment might fix if I have the time and energy someday.

I remember your experience with that KJ. I’m not sure on mine. Gen pallet fork and escape wheel also failed on a vs3235 but worked famously on another. I guess it proves the inconsistency of manufacturing we often speak of.

That was an early release erroneous rumor for the VS/DD3235. Measuring it at that lift angle resulted in so many super high amplitude readings that it was proven to be wrong.

Cheers, mine was 254 amp at 59 lift angle, i expect to receive it this week so will check amp myself at 55 and see what amp I get

At the same amount of winding, 55 lift angle will show 15-20° less amplitude. You can't know for certain now what amount of winding there was at measurement time. I assume you looked at my video in the link I provided. 55 was dead on for the DD3235, not off even by 0.1°. I am not the only one who measured it. Not accusing anyone of anything and I have not measured a DD3285, but using a higher than proper lift angle will always make the amplitude appear higher that it actually is.

Received the watch today and when wound it was giving me 254 amplitude at 55, so pretty happy with that.

Hard to say whether C+ is really a CLEAN partner and what they will eventually end up offering. After seeing these pics I wouldn't buy an SH3285, why would anyone?

An easy ID for the DD3285 is the absence of the fake free sprung balance arm. This is such a welcome feature as that decoration is not only totally useless and doesn't fool anyone but it also forces the regulation arms to the far side of the balance. As was done on the VS3235, Dandong did the common sense smart thing here.

@CTime can you elaborate on what movement C+ will have - are they a partner to CLEAN and eligible for the DD3285?

Yes... on the DD3285 (and the VS3235) the balance endshake adjustment screw works. On the SH3285 (and the VR3235) the brass screw simply secures the balance bridge decoration plate.
