Congrats l.
Did you get a deep Xtal or just keep the CF one?
If you kept the CF, how do you feel about it?
I kept it ootb. I realized years ago, that with reps you can basically chose two paths: either you enjoy the superb watches, which current reps simply are. You do not actively look for minor flaws or finishing perfection. That would be me. Many other enthusiasts go the other route, looking for the best franken projects. Both are perfectly fine. For my personal enjoyment I just wanted the 19 mm bracelet. I had the gen on the wrist several time and it is very different to my 36 mm OP with 20 mm bracelet. xtal depth does not touch me that much. I like it as it is.

Just got my 39mm Explorer (Clean). I only just set the time so I will have to check back with accuracy. As far as the fit and finish:
The crown winds flawlessly
The bracelet is solid and a quality piece with nice clicks of the double clasp function and quick lengthening/shortening function of bracelet operation is seamless.
I’ve went over the face with a jeweler’s magnifying glass with LED function and I can not find a flaw with the numeral/mark placement or design as well as all the correct marking detail and locations being in order.
I will not remove the film on the bracelet for a few days) as advised by Steve (theonewatch) so it will be returnable if needed, but the film is transparent and I can not discern any issue whatsoever.
I am very satisfied thus far. This is my first Rep purchase and I would again like
To thank this community and it’s staff.

I have BP explorer wirh a2824 and winding is awfull, like there is sand or something. I have to replace it with genuine eta.
Is is only my experience or every other a2824 winding is so bad?

gen eta isn't that much smoother. It is a trademark of the sw200/eta2824

I have thought about replacing the movement too. My BP has 3230 and it had scratchy winding, but got smoother after a few months. The crown tube thread feels delicate too, and a couple of times the watch has stopped while wearing it, so maybe there's a problem with the rotor.

If I knew what I was doing I'd swap out the movement (maybe not with gen Eta) and tube... as it stands, the new Clean Explorer with correct 19mm lugs is looking tempting

Oh, so that is not problem only of asian versions? I am a little but surprised that genuine eta is not smooth. I have another a2892 rep and winding that one is really smooth.

eta 2892 AND SW300 have different winding design and a buttery silk.

Sw300 > sw200
ETA2892 > ETA2824

The higher grade movements wind smooth and don't have as much reverser gear issues as the lower ones.
