Quality is good..nice and soft rubber, very flexible,, But you need to use curved spring bars (included) to make it fit properly
So, if i would add a gen rubber bracelet i have to find curved springbars?

Yeah that's absolutely correct. But to be fair, they give you the option for QC or to back out of the sale. Can't think of many illicit purchases with this kind of service, generally it's "get f'd".

Prices went up because people are in prison. It's quite simple.

I have an opinion too. Some units have good markers, on some (most) they are misaligned.

A TD is trying to sell you a watch with crooked markers, which he can 100% see, but he hopes you wouldn't notice.

Other people get units with good markers and are paying exactly the same price. Why on Earth would you accept something that will bother you for all eternity? You'll only see this crap every time you look at the watch. So thank you, but no thank you!

And please don't try to sell me the story about how poor hungry children are assembling these in a cold basement while snacking on boogers... Prices are only going up, quality not so very much. There would never be any progress in the world if we would always accept everything that's thrown at us. They just need to try harder.

That's my opinion. What a diverse bunch we are!

Replica oblivion…
Anyone else received one lately. Any update on the serial no mismatch issue ? Has it been sorted. The pics on Intime show S/N on case matching the S/N on movement.

I got a white dial a couple days ago and no, the serial numbers don't match (they're tiny, no problem to me), the 12 o'clock markers may be a tiiiny bit misaligned (my VSF before was worse), and I don't think the crystal is quite as clear as VSF, but the bracelet clasp is nicer (no play when locked like the VSF had), the bezel action is much better (my VSF sounded awful and had a lot of play), the crown and guards are more gen-like (though I think the VSF has better knurling) and the markers are much whiter. They rarely perfectly match with the dial but from what I've seen from the gen in AD's, they don't either. Overall I'm happy with the watch, especially after taking the rotor off and using a little grease to stop the crazy free spin.

I really don't understand how you have jumped to that conclusion.
I read 82050098 as SN both on ORF lug and movement.
You are correct. ORF serials always match but can suffer poor paint finishing.

Hmmm I’ve just sold my VSF as the lume colour really really bugged me and I am just not sold that the ZF and ORF are any better, with their own additional flaws. They all feel like you are wearing a rep.

The ZF really is much better than the VSF as far as lume color, but you're right, they do all feel like you're wearing a rep, and that's because you are. These Chinese factories can't produce watches identical to those costing 10-20x more, it's just not possible (at least at the $3-400 price point we're talking about here).

After a fair number of reps I've come to the conclusion that even for the best it's pretty easy to know one from the other upon handling if you have any experience with the real deal. The good part is that on the wrist it's often hard to tell and is especially difficult to spot on someone else's. And that's for someone really in the know, the average person would never, ever, ever be able to spot some of the things stressed out about on this site as "major tells."

I'm pretty critical and I have come to realize that there are some flaws I can live with and some I can't. I had a GF Breitling Avenger II that was really quite amazing, so close to perfect, but it had one flaw that I couldn't stand. The bezel wasn't perfectly flat and you could tell by the way it caught the light. Hell, the gen might even be like that, but it was something I couldn't live with. The white dial VSF SMP was the same, perfectly fine to me except for the yellow lume. This ZF is no Omega, it can't be, but (as for now) it has reached that bar of acceptability in my eyes. I'm not going around flaunting that I have an Omega on my wrist and lying about it, but I'm proud knowing that I have a darn good looking watch on that everyone will think is an Omega.

To end my diatribe, I think it comes down to what you can accept and what you can't. Some people flip about certain things and other people don't even notice them. Overall, I feel the ZF is a big leap ahead of the other factories for the SMP, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
