However, I am looking for the white SMP300.

Just checked the "Who Makes the Best Guide 2024" spreadshit.

I have 2 questions:

Movement: how does the the ZF 2824 Asian movement compares to the VSF clone, regarding to reliability? Which is superior?

Are there any major aknowledged "problems" with the ZF like the stripping crown issue of the VSF?
Zf dont have crown stripping

VSF seamaster isnt a clone movement, you're thinking of the Aqua Terras. I think ZF is ok but inferior to VSF.

Matter of choices. VSF consensus is it's better built/feels better but not aesthetically as good as ZF in case shape etc

Agree with all of this. I own a ZF because the case shape is better. One thing @Reaps missed is the ZF has a loud rotor out of the box. It can be silenced but you have to remove some deco and reapply. That being said, the ZF looks better, as the lugs are more correct length, but the VSF is probably better built.

Yes.... once you see the VSF crown guard it really is over and you can't ever unsee it hahaa. I also dislike VSF's yellow lume which is REALLY prevalent on the white dial. Sad to say that the Seamaster line doesn't have a king like a VSF sub. I'd be willing to pay VSF Sub prices for a Seamaster variant that nails everything.

But another thing, is that Seamasters can be found second hand for $3-4k. Which is alot of money but it's not that far out of reach for most. A few months savings and you can grab one. And buying gen second hand is piss easy to verify because no rep has ever done co-axial, the weird 25200 beat rate basically is an instant tell for fake or real.

A very eye catching SMP. Good choice! I definitely have space for a green watch on my collection. :ROFLMAO:
Haha I have a thing for green watches. I didn't realize I liked green so much till I started buying watches. That and the IWC Inginieur aqua are my favorite green ones! Next will probably be a Glashütte SeaQ.
