From TheSociety directly! It was his SuperFranken build that had the Tiffany & Co. dial. I'm having him change it to a "standard" panda. Too much attention paid to the Tiffany & Co. since that was essentially a one-off as far as I can tell.
I'm getting a Gen bezel installed right away too. This build is NOT for the average Rep collector.

Well...all I gotta say is @RobU6263Daytona you crazy Daytona addict! This might be the most gen watch I've ever built! Congrats bro. The gen bezel adds history and stories to this piece!

O-M-G!!! I can't wait to get this thing back. It looks stunning. The new dial does match the patina pretty nicely with the gen bezel.
Now all I need to find is a gen dial LOL! The hunt goes on.

TY again and again and again. This has been an epic build and I'm so happy with it.

@TheSociety ... would please give me some info (if you have some) about the Tudor C390 movement ?
I mean "price level" and "reliability".

I'm just on the first step for a "circa 1959 Tudor 7928" build and I wonder if I wont, at least for that watch, leave the "low budget" way and try to build something better.
I'll start with a Cartel case (highly reworked), a DIY Gilt dial (I'm working on the design), gen specs ... and then ????
I really think I could fit a C390 in a Cartel case and I've seen some of them, ticking and "keeping good time", for about $700.
So do you think it's too cheap to be good, or too expensive ... I really have no idea.
The good thing is that movement is based on a Fleurier ébauche, FEF 350, so it's possible to get "low budget" spare parts if needed (though the parts wont be branded).
Plus even if I start with a very low budget movement, a 2813, I can even reuse, for some time, the handset with a little broaching.
The idea is to build a watch that I will keep and that could be upgraded all along its life.

Now some pics ... Tudor 7928 ... C390 movement ... Fleurier FEF350

Here's a C390 movement if you're you don't have one already. Seems to be pretty reasonable.

Dammit! I LOVE searching for parts like this.

Thank you [emoji4]
It comes a little too soon and I'll prefer to find one in EU because of import taxes, but thank you again !!!
BTW ... they write that the C390 comes from a FEF390 but I'm 90% certain that it's derivated from a FEF 350/380.
For those who can read French there's a really interesting thread in"forumamontres" about the refurbishment of a C390 using FEF 350/380 parts ... the guy even swap the cock from the FEF.
