Man this is disappointing. I looked up to Oascom when I started out, so very troubling to see this.

Same, as an amateur modder (heavy stress on the amateur part,) Pat inspired me to branch out my skillset with his posts/designs, even gifting me a screwdriver set.
Now I'm going to look at him as a cautionary tale.

Sad to see one of the greats in this situation. I've had times where I have customer strap orders backed up and I can't imagine ghosting people. Just be honest and issue refunds if necessary, shit happens and people will understand if you are good faith and responsive. It takes 30 seconds to answer an email or a PM.

This is hard to believe.im like 3 yrs old rep age but his name is massively respected by all members around rep community.even me had done 2 small deals with him.but recently i noticed his Instagram was so quite no posting or activities.NOW I HAVE THE ANSWER.who else can be trust here ? That will be the big question to all members??? I hope everyone can get money back.what have you done ? Why would you destroyed your reputation it is very hards to build.

He's never been one of the greats. I'll reserve my personal thoughts on his dials as everyone is an adult and can make their own decisions, but I'm still waiting for someone to show me $1300 + in value of one of his dials. People are absolutely crazy.

I think he's guilty of taking on too much, too many projects, and is now just ignoring everyone so he can slowly produce some of what has been paid for. He looks like a scammer for not responding to anyone. Maybe he will be proven to be one, who knows, but the warning signs were all over this forum over the last year and people willfully ignored them and sent thousands to him anyway, and now are worried.

What's interesting to me is how his business model changed over the past few years. I've sent a number of watches to him for servicing and never paid in advance. He would complete the work, send me an invoice, I'd pay it then he'd ship.

Process worked well, albeit slow.

Sad to see what's happening, hope it all gets rectified properly.

He wouldn’t make the service cost a pre-payment, however he did ask for pre-payment on custom dials and likely custom work.

WOW wasn't expecting to see this. I remember reaching out to him several years ago regarding a service, he was kind of rude and dismissive.
Never cared for him since.
To all those who have funds/watches tied up with him: may he make things right and refund/send what was agreed upon.

There are dozens of dial makers on Instagram who charge 1/10 of his prices for the same quality, unless printing the word Rolex costs a premium.

I will say, the "SCAM" here is that he is still taking peoples money even though he cannot keep up with what he has now.
Giving a disclaimer that it may take 1 year does not make it ok. The scam is continuing to take orders!

Last one I had done required detailed laser cutting for a custom build I was doing (we're talking small text engraved,) and it was done in 4 weeks. $80.

Oh, and the artisan (he'll remain nameless as I don't know how he'd feel being named here) lives in Kiev and even apologized to me at one point because a powerplant was shelled, so he didn't have internet for a week (which I told him there was no need for an apology.)

I apologize that I was not clear in my assertion. Maybe I should have said "household name" in the rep world. The notoriety he gained was greater than most others. There's very few people doing what he was doing with custom work.

Still sad to see the state of this even though I never was a customer. It's just crazy to me that he would take up front payments. It's a recipe for disaster.

Really? I always pay Nikz upfront when he needs to order gen parts from Rolex for me — sometimes up to a thousand — and it’s never turned into a disaster.
