Sorry my bad, sure I saw that clean released a 40mm, must have been mistaken, apologiesDid Clean actually release the 40mm version? I haven't noticed any mentions of it?
COSC on rep movts? Are you kidding?I see. Thank you. As you can tell I am new to all of this Regarding the movement in particular...what would I need to do to get one of these up to COSC levels of accuracy? I am willing to send this to a rep friendly local watchmaker
Agreed. While my VS has commonly held at sub 10s/day, I've had movements that lose 15s a day with even a service. Chalk it up to a lemon chalk it up to whatever. Just setting expectations. Lots of people blabber on about how amazing their +1s/day VS is, the more you own, the more you realize it really is just a crapshoot.Regulating a rep movement takes my watchsmith 5 minutes tops. Most of my VS movements ran very accurately OOTB, but were made even more accurate with a little help of a timegrapher, a screwdriver and a couple of drops of oil. But as @Reaps has said - go TC/HAQ or GPS/atomic clock assisted quartz if you need your watch to be extremely accurate.
How so? I don't want to shave twice in a row...
Well, not sure exactly when, but hopefully soon we may see clean stock coming through. How so? I don't want to shave twice in a row...

I have one rep that is close, seems to be gaining 4 one day and losing 4 the next, not adjusted for over a week and currently -4. My 4 other reps are not even close though so sometimes you do get close enough.why not? my CF 114060 with DD3130 movement currently having +2, never serviced since received it in Dec-23
Oh, so the gen uses the 7mm crown. In this sense the tube spec on the rep won't fit a gen crown then unless a 7mm tube is also installed.I think the incorrect 6mm crown on the VSF actually suits this watch better than the 7mm crown on the gen. Currently all Rolex models with the 7mm crown either have crown guards (Sub, GMT, Daytona, Yachtmaster, Airking) or a 42mm case (Skydweller). Every other ~40mm model without crown guards have the 6mm crown (OP41, DJ41, DD40). Watching the gen reviews on the Explorer 40, the oversized crown kind of stands out. The 6mm crown looked just fine on the Explorer 39, and new 40mm model isn't substantially larger.
Yeah. You need a 7230 gen spec case tube paired with a 724 gen spec crown.Oh, so the gen uses the 7mm crown. In this sense the tube spec on the rep won't fit a gen crown then unless a 7mm tube is also installed.
Thanks. I don't suppose you know if the crystal on the gen has the Rolex logo like for the Sub?I think the incorrect 6mm crown on the VSF actually suits this watch better than the 7mm crown on the gen. I don't really know if it's the wrong size compared to gen. I suspect others have a better eye for such things. It's not terrible in terms of proportions if you ask me.@dogwood What do you think of the crown? Too small? Just right?
Basicly every stock replica from the factorys we discuss here have a LEC at 6. (laser edged crown) if you mean thisThanks. I don't suppose you know if the crystal on the gen has the Rolex logo like for the Sub?
