I am purchasing one at the moment and my QC photos show a misaligned date. As the dial does not locate into the movement, and instead the movement spacer, shouldn't it be relatively simple to slightly twist the dial for alignment purposes? I'm going through a TD who is notoriously difficult with QC criticisms, so if this is likely an easily fixed issue I would rather just approve. If it would require dissassembly and resetting of the date wheel or more, I will attempt to get another piece. For those who are more familiar with these things, I appreciate the help.
I could be wrong but typically the datewheel is actually a glued overlay on the actual datewheel, so it could be as easy as removing the dial, hands, and then re-gluing correctly.

Yeah, that's definitely a couple steps I would wish to avoid on a new watch. Thanks

I bought the original V7F strap version. Anyone knows if I can order the bracelet separately? Will it fit? Did the case change between strap and bracelet version?

It should fit. You may post your search in the WTB section.

I know that there are members that bought it with bracelet and swapped it for an aftermarket strap. I did that too. Perhaps someone is willing to sell the bracelet.

For people with biggers wrists the solid end links might cause a problem with the angle it's set at. Might be pointing too much down.
I just received today a Blue V7F Mark XX and I wished I saw this post. Are the end links suppose to be fixed and pointed straight down in the gen or is this an error by V7F?

Looks like V7F got the angle wrong. Gen flares out a little where my rep goes straight down. Makes it worse for larger wrists.

This is some great information!
Up to what size wrist would it be OK to use a bracelet?
I have a 18,5cm (7,3") wrist and I would like to order the V7F with the bracelet and later get myself a good quality leather strap from the aftermarket.
But if the bracelet will be uncomfortable for my wrist size I may have to rethink that plan... Thanks in advance!

Anyone think I can bend the end links for more curve like the gen? I'm afraid it might just snap if I tried

I just did some research and found an owner with a 7,25” wrist who fit the bracelet comfortably. So for everyone wondering <7.25” is confirmed OK and comfortable.

I have both strap (first release) and bracelet version, I tried putting the bracelet to first release one, unfortunately the bracelet won't click. Not sure if this the issue is mine only, no one seems able to answer.

You probably don't need my review, but here are 2c from a guy who has been in reps for over 10 years.
First and foremost, IWC is the brand that got me into watches. I used to work for an AD before, so reps just interested me from a watch lover's perspective.

I have had many IWC reps over the years and when this V7F White dial arrived this morning, I was wowed by it. Bear in mind, I don't judge reps with a macro loup. I enjoy them for what they are, with a bias towards as close to NWBIG as possible.

Top marks:
- The crystal is perfect, with the right amount of antireflective coating.
- The dial markings are pretty spot on. Hard to tell the diff from wrist.
- Movement is buttery smooth to wind, silent and I can have confidence in it to perform.

Mid-marks:
- The dial colour looks white in pics everywhere. Even in gen pics on the i w c website. In real life, there is a silver hue. I was surprised to see that the rep dial was not stone cold white either (plus points), but can't tell whether it is silver enough to match gen. Deal breaker? Hell no. At wrist level it is hard to ascertain what shade of white it is. It is not white white, which it wasn't meant to be.

Low marks:
- Imo, the bracelet is rattly and the IWC marking on clasp isn't deep enough. The bizarre end-links situation is also a downer. On a bigger wrist size the end links would be an easy tell. Overall, the bracelet functions as the gen.

Conclusion:
Looking at this thing, I could not justify the gen. Put this on any after market strap and you have something that is genuinely NWBIG.

Thanks for this review, awesome info and thank you for also doing some back story to relativize your opinions.
Few questions: What is your wrist size? And how comfortabele is the bracelet for you? Would you recommend getting the bracelet or is it to bad (maybe even do a oil bath) to just skip it and get the strap instead?

My wrist is circa 7inches and I do subtly see the effect of the bizarre end link situation.
Having said that, I am glad I have the bracelet. It is very comfortable and yes, after an oil bath, it'll be less rattly sounding hopefully. Definitely get the bracelet! At least you have it on standby.

Fatal error

The black dial model of this is very good and imo close to gen. Kind of an under the radar rep
