I love the look of my ZF but the rotor is loud. Even after I silenced, it can still be "felt". But the look of the watch is much better than the V7F IMO.
For reference my gen Pilot Chrono with ETA7750 makes such a racket. The whole thing vibrates on the arm when watch is shaken. Surely these reps cannot be louder?

i did 40 hand turns (basically half turnes. i guess i might turn the crown about 180 to 200 degree at each hand turn) so - around 25 full crown turns approximately. i thought that should be enough as i was wearing the watch the whole day before winding it up
My V7F Mark XX ran for 43 hours.

I turned the crown 50 times after the watch had stopped, then left it alone.

Picked up a new mark xx by v7, on bracelet. Here's my thoughts compared to mark xx by ZF on leather, maybe I'll make a post with pics of both

Crystal: Equal

AR Coating: Near equal, V7 lead

Case:
- Finish: ZF superior brushing IMO. V7 looks like too many individual brushes, it doesn't blend cohesively like ZF and Gen.
- Accuracy: ZF superior, the polished stripe that goes along the lugs and side of case is much too thin on V7
- Crown: V7 feels more solid like my gen watch crowns than ZF.
- Lug Shape: Both are wrong compared to gen

Dial: Equal. Both have nice raised dial markers, no real difference noted.

Movement: V7 lead, ZF uses a cheap miyota with a very loud rotor.

Best mark XX build: zf case + gen sw movement or v7f asian movement, dials interchangable, crystal interchangable.

Besides the shitty ZF movement, these are basically interchangable. The ZF has a thicker polished stripe, thinner lugs, slightly less angled lug ends. V7 has thinner polished stripe, wider lugs, more of an angle on the ends.

Unfortunatly you can't swap the Miyota for an A2892 aka Seagull ST1812 in the ZF case easily. Hands won't fit, datewheel is not interchangeable. I asked my watchsmith while I had the ZF.

Damn that sucks, so I take it then the real eta and sws wouldn’t fit either. Isn’t the date wheel the default date wheel for the sw and etas? I guess I can’t really tell on my watch right now if this is a custom font or not.

In that case the v7f is probably the best choice, because the zf movement quality is just poor. The crown feels bad, the rotor is bad, the decorations are so dumb and cause issues. My v7f crown feels way more solid when I take it out, it’s night and day difference.

My only real complaint I highlighted above, the brushing is rougher on the v7, and the polished edge is thinner. It’s fantastic and extremely comfortable, I love the mark series for its wearability. The v7 bracelet is also amazing! It’s truly great quality, it’s way better than a forstner bullet/jubilee for comparison. Some people with big wrists hate this bracelet though because the first link points down and doesn’t flex.

Rep bracelets always amaze me. I have gen omega bracelets on my gen speedmaster and aqua terra, the rep makers can make bracelets just as good. I see absolutely zero reason to buy the gen Iwc bracelet. I can also confirm the bracelet functions 1:1 to gen, I followed the gen video to remove a link.

That's correct. I asked my watchsmith to swap the Miyota for a SW300 or ETA 2892 and he told me that he couldn't do it, because of the hands, datewheel and possible issues with dial and stem.

Could be that it's possible to swap movement with DW, dial and hands of the V7 into the case of the ZF. But that's another story. For me the case of the V7 is good enough.

date wheel on the V7F is custom, i had to swap date wheels when installing a genuine 2892A2

Just received my first rep from Li at Jtime. Pulled the trigger on a V7 factory IWC MK XX in blue with the 2892. I’ll just cut to the chase and say when I look down at it on my wrist I honestly feel like I’ve just spent 5K at an IWC boutique. I have been hesitant to buy a rep for fear of being disappointed but this is actually incredibly impressive. The quality is 10/10 and best of all it has the jewel like quality and sparkle of the gen and not flat or dull. I don’t know if they have updated anything but the hands a lume plots are a clean white and match the numbers. Even the strap is worthwhile. So if you’ve been on the fence about purchasing on of these do yourself a favor and get one. You won’t be disappointed.
hi im new here, very nice, does it come the quick change system, if so is there after market ones ?

Yes it comes with the ezxchange strap system but don’t bother. It’s not great, even the gen iwc straps.

yes, which (in my experience) is a 1:1 clone of the ETA 2892A2.

i've received a lot of questions about the movement swap i performed, so i thought i'd just summarize it here real quick.

bought the V7F from Hont, and the original movement had issues within a month. it would not manual wind, and would randomly stop and need to be shaken hard to start up again.

i sourced a new genuine ETA 2892A2 movement from a Swiss dealer, which took about three weeks to arrive in the US. i consider myself a novice, and the swap was still very simple because there are plenty of 2892A2 assembly/servicing walkthroughs and videos out there. besides the hands and face, the only other part that needed to be swapped was the date wheel because it has a custom font, so there was no need to disassemble any of the actual timekeeping parts of the movement. the 2892A2 listing did not specify hand height, but i got lucky and the hands fit perfectly. if they had not, i simply would have swapped the relevant parts from the original movement to the 2892A2.

hope this helps anyone looking to perform a movement swap!

i'd bet it could be done, maybe at worst you'd need to 3D print a custom movement ring.

Unless it's too big, but I doubt it. If it's too small, like you said that's an easy fix to 3d print, might need a new crown stem thats longer.

Anyone have one with the white dial? I haven't bought a rep in a while but I am considering picking one up with the white dial.

I am purchasing one at the moment and my QC photos show a misaligned date. As the dial does not locate into the movement, and instead the movement spacer, shouldn't it be relatively simple to slightly twist the dial for alignment purposes? I'm going through a TD who is notoriously difficult with QC criticisms, so if this is likely an easily fixed issue I would rather just approve. If it would require dissassembly and resetting of the date wheel or more, I will attempt to get another piece. For those who are more familiar with these things, I appreciate the help.
