I love this watch on the bracelet but the lug links that don't flare was a dealbreaker for me. Eventhough I don't have a large wrist, it just always leaves a noticable gap between the second and third link with that weird crease, which is an instant tell and drags down the whole watch. Luckily it looks fantastic on a strap as well! And given the available aftermarket straps in various materials, it is so versatile and you can make it fit any style or mood you like.

Having said that, I will instantly buy another one of these if V7F fixes the bracelet.

Does anyone know or have an update on the flaring lug links on the Bracelet? Has this issue been fixed? Id love to buy one, I have 7.5 inch wrist and this is a bunmer if not fixed

Yeah, some of them seem to be suffering from the last 'N' of 'Schaffhausen,' which is a bit higher than the rest of the font.
See this QC on Reddit, but there are others too.

To my eye it looks more the the "E" is too low and the "N" is in line with the rest of the letters. But, it's really hard to tell from low quality images fro a phone camera. I'm guessing this isn't visible on the wrist, or even to the naked eye unless it is called out -- because as soon as something is called out, you can't unsee it no matter what.

I just did some research and found an owner with a 7,25” wrist who fit the bracelet comfortably. So for everyone wondering <7.25” is confirmed OK and comfortable.

Great information thanks! I have a 7.5 inch wrist. Id like to buy the V7F but am worried about the bracelet. Do you have any info on 7.5" wrist? Cant find any info and if they have corrected this.
Thanks!

I don't think there's anything to update, it looks very similar on the gen bracelet. Take a look at this video from 6:07 minute mark:

I think it looks good enough on a 7.25 inch wrist:

The whole thing is built like a tank, I love it!
Thanks for the info! Looks good on your wrist. I tried on the Gen and loved it. I just got a little worried with what some people have said about the bracelete and the non flaring links. Ive got a 7.5 inch wrist. I think im going to go for it. Hopefully fits well on me. Might also ask about getting a leather strap also if at a good price.

Great looking. Comfortable?
Very comfortable, it feels like an Explorer 1, the new Ingenieur or a Daytona, it disappears on your wrist. It's also not heavy/top heavy, which I love.

I think that this one is a true strap monster too👍

Well, it does look good, but I'd prefer if it wasn't for these non flaring links. I don't feel them or anything, but it would look more streamlined, if it was a normal bracelet. Take the bracelet, you can still buy straps afterwards! I think I'll buy a red or a black FKM rubber strap for mine and a nice Gunny or a Wotancraft leather for the winter time.
I might try one of these, not much to lose I think :)
I just found this on AliExpress:
€26.32 | FKM Fluoro Rubber Strap for IWC Big Pilot Mark Portugieser TOP GUN Men Quick Release Waterproof Sport Watch Band 20mm 21mm 22mm

I hate nato straps with a passion, but it was the only 20mm strap I had laying around. It looks a bit daft with Omega hardware, but it's just to give anyone interested an idea what it looks like on one of these.

I’m not crazy about Nato straps either but that looks good. Great watch! Im
ordering mine today. Going for Bracelet and will try and get an additional leather strap to go with it. Black dial.

Great choice :)

Try TanGo or Gunny straps!

I think I will order the blue version of this one. My only question is wether I'll take the bracelet version, the strap version, or both.

I don't like the bracelet, and apparently it's not comfortable to wear because of the weird lug shape.

The only reasons why I'd consider taking the bracelet version is because:

  • It's probably harder to source a steel bracelet than a leather strap
  • I am considering buying a gen bracelet (310€ + 115€ for the buckle...), so I won't need the cheap version
  • Straps are easy to source
I've read good things about this V7F strap though...

What do you guys think?
