Yes. You might be interested in this thread if you haven't seen it.

Bezel/Hytrel ring repair - Long term
Thanks a ton, KJ! I have indeed seen the thread when searching, but somehow thought it must be irrelevant as it was related to the 126610LN reference... So now I learned that the bezel assembly is indeed very similar between both watches. Thanks for enlightening me :)

Today the time had finally come and my long-awaited V3 Pepsi arrived (CNY was in between).
I was curious to see whether something had happened with the bezel structure at Clean because they have now put out a lot of units with the DD3285 since "V1" and they may have reacted to supplier errors that were reported to them by @CTime . Dedicated users here, especially @KJ2020 , have really put lot of efforts in informing about the issue for an optimized, leaner and more genspec bezel action with little backplay.

So I was excited.
But the result was sobering. No noise, barely clicks into place on the shells.

So, as always, I dismantled it and looked at the whole thing. They seem to have adjusted the washer, the diameter is no longer too small and fits around the shells except for the housing itself.
The spring is still crappy and has to be adjusted by hand, which is a pain if you want to get it right and even. In addition, a lot of fat has to be removed and then the shells have to be greased individually with decent silicone grease.

I also took the insert out so that I could insert it correctly (it had play and wasn't always correct).

Now the watch has NO backplay and the sound and feel is genspec IMO.

Very nice piece bro, congrats. I still don't get it why they don't already come this way, or better just use the "rollerball" bezel design. smh

A different type of rep GMT bezel - The Rollerball!

Had the "rollerball" on the "not VS" gmt also, was the best ever. But guess they want to go for gen and not for "better than gen". (This mechanism is one of the unicorns where you can say rep is better than gen;))
But on that watch bracelet was shit, had the VR movement, date was not aligned peoperly, and aome other things that bothered me, like also old inlay.

Now i am as happy as I can be.

@derjenigewelcher Did you find the bezel much harder to get off than the 3186 models? Were you able to reuse the hytrel ring as well? Got a couple coming in and just want to be ready. Thanks

Just remove with paper the first 70% all will be good. Watchmaker silicone grease is ok
I believe I removed a bit too much of the grease now it has a little bit of back play. Where should I scoop the grease on to make it more firm, the "dots" on the bezel ring?

The backplay has nothing to so with the amount of grease bit the tention of the spring. It has to have more tension. Then sonme silicone grease on the scallops

Ok so I have a clean GMT with all gen bezel parts and no matter what I do I can’t get it to turn. There is a slight amount of play in both directions while it’s in position but can I get it to click either way or rotate? no chance! Any ideas.

Is your crystal retaining ring gen? That is part of a complete bezel assembly.

Yeah all gen. Tried it with the rep and had same issue. I have a feeling it’s an issue with the click spring but can’t think what?
