Not really he asked for the best current version of the Pelagos and the answer is the XF/V6F V4 . It's that simple .

From this point of view, you are absolutely right. I checked on another question.

I have mentioned this before, Just avoid the decorated miyota movement. Miyota 901S movement itself is a really good movement BUT NOT this chinese-modified movement with the custom decoration. No lubrication oil can fix the rotor from GRINDING the decorated plate. The rotor is wobbly, not sure if its the ball bearings that are lose.

I would still go with XF but with a 2824 movement.

Yeah but all the watches that are in the dealer are now Miyota movements... They don't carry 2824 anymore do they?

So having taken all your advice/opinions and points into consideration... Along with not being able to decide on the color i wanted...

This came up on the M2M in europe so i have bought it as the price was excellent too..

https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...7520-eu-tudor-pelagos-blue-v2-a2824-on-rubber

However i wanted the black one more i think so when my other watch on M2m has sold i will likely ordered an XF V4 From a TD as reccomended. In regards to A2824 vs Miyota i guess if it is a geniune Miyota then this should be fine as it should be reliable. Also wh en buiying from TD if they don't stock the 2824 version then i can't source this????

The watch i have bought on M2M is the 2824 version but a ZF version of the watch i believe so it will be nice i think to have a black one from TD on bracelet that is on the super rep list also.

This way i get both the colors i want and get to sample both movements too....

I really appreciate everyone taking the time to try and help me on here. I am a little tiny bit confused but equaully i think the XF V4 is the way to go in black and most likely if the dealers only stock Miyota then it will likely have to be a Miyota..

Just take the advice from chocolito , hes bang on and knows his Tudors. The XF is the closest to gen look and feel wise, and I didn't mind the 9015 myself at all. Couldn't figure out all the fuss around noise, it really wasn't that bad to me. And sometimes you get duds other times you don't, it's the risk of reps. But I'll tell you, winding that 9015 was a heck of a lot smoother than my new 2824 rep.

Sounds like you found a good deal on one, but don't let people dissuade you from the XF. It's excellent, coming from someone who's had it along with several gen Tudors.

Just been reading this thread as I'm also interested in adding the XF to my collection. Thanks chocolito for the info, it was really helpful. Just out of interest, how does the bracelet compare with the gen? Does the spring system in the clasp work OK or is it worth just swapping the bracelet out for a rubber?

Thanks

I did not mean that! I have never held a pelagos from XF in my life. Only my zf. I can say about him. But what? Just that it looks blue and titanium. And I don’t know what's inside. I hope that 2824. All that I wrote about XF I wrote "read on the fence." Who knows if this is true or not? The fact that Pelagos from XF is $ 30 more expensive in China is a fact. And the Chinese themselves consider XF better. In short, there is no simple answer. Probably the best one you have.

is the watch actually full titanium or is it possible to do a titanium plating? I read a post on here somewhere stating that the reps use titanium plating and it's not solid titanium

As for the movement in these nowadays; I bought my black xf from Intime last fall-only because xf went back to the a2824 for a while ( not shure what they put in it today ). Mine is quiet. I have a Zenith pilot type 20 bronze with the Miyota, and it keeps very good time - but it has got quite a bit of noise. Still one of my favorites, though.
