Raffles

The cats out of the bag. Raffles had contacted me in regards to this dial and to confirm the details I would not say I am responsible for this creation of this dial but He did consult with me on its accuracy.

I have dial 001 coming to me , along with the prototype of his new caramel tropical dial , which I plan on doing a review of for the good people here on the forums. stay tuned.

Just ordered 1016 parts from him. Knowing this I would have waited until they are available.

Concerning the 2824 I don't know why people use them so often. Most of the clone 2824 have no good power Reserve and the keyless works is a mess.
I use NH35/36/38, last time in a 6538 build with raffles case and it was not really a Problem.

@369mafia possible to get the new 6350 dial and the tropical dial with NH dial feet? Since the NH38 is much more reliable than ETA clones with no need to modify the keyless for no date and it’s a drop in into the current cases that raffles is already selling.

And it’s a 21600 bph movement which makes it more “accurate” in some sense

And the new 6350 dial will need a bubble case back and some golden pencil hands;)
But both aren’t available readily anywhere :(

Interested to hear this too - although the NH38 has such a large "blank" surface area, applying a few dots of silicone to hold the dial is incredibly easy!

Sure it’s easy with the nh38, but i don’t see how difficult it is for the factories in china to make it lol

I am not sure he did not send me a pic of the caramel dial before he sent it. I guess we will find out in a week and a half

Youre not looking hard enough friend. They even make pencil hands for nh movements. Raffles Time &
Tiger Concepts has what your looking for: at least that was my plan on building a budget 6350
bubbled case back, decent lugs and thick bezel and domed acrylic.

although its possible to modify the caseback on a raffles case to bubble it but the thicker bezel would need to be made but this case set seems to cover all the bases and tweeks can be done to get it closer

its not that they cant make it , but retailers like raffles need to order batches of 100 at a time . If he was able to order 50 nh and 50 eta then that would be ideal but I assume he would need to get 100 made of each so that is why he doesn't offer more options.

For the handset for nh38, the fitting diameter is the same as eta for minute and hour hands, the second is 0,02mm bigger on the NH3x you can manage to mount eta second hands with a little squiz on the axis of the second hand....

T22 and white lume 😁

C ggf f I worked on my tropical exemplar, finalised the case work, mount a Rivet bracelet... This is a very special one, it's my first rep and I ve bought it as a 1019 rep, but, very far from a 1019...

I though to convert it with the new 6350 dial as the case back Is a bubble one (marked 5513), the crystal is very special, little dome with no overlap with the bezel, its more close of the dial than usual case/crystal, it s a special diameter as the middle case is 288... I think this build could be a straight base to 6350 but I am not sure for the handset, I dont like the pencil hands for the moment 😅, but could be a caramel build too I wait for the listing.

So
16200 case and 5513 case back with some rework, shaping, drilled lugs..
Crystal from nowhere (old t22 domed look)
Eta 2836-2 (as I worked on it seem gen)
Rivet bracelet/2mm spring bar
Raffle dial reworked to aged
Hands re shaping (an extra work needed to match the dial lume)

I ve some news for the bezel, the guy did some adjustments this week end as he had to scrap the first one as the diameter was too small at his first attempt and the polishing deformed the rings on his second attemp...

He told me next week end or in the week if he ll find some times...

@1016 lover you fit a 5513 caseback to a 36 mm raffles case? Ive never tried to see if it would fit. I am surprised it does

The caseback came with the 16200 case I have with 1019 rep I ve bought

The 5513 case back I have fit the raffle case too but it s different from the 5513 case from raffle, to me it look like a cartel 5513 or an exotic one, I will take some pictures
