Is that the AliX case? I really like them. From the top, the lugs are a little fat, but the side profile is awesome to my (inexperienced, but learning every day) eye.One of the cases I just received. Lugs don't look that fat to my inexperienced eye. I'd just try to smooth out the "hump" from the side view.

No it's raffles. Again, I have yet to develop my eye, but for a brief moment I thought the case might be improved to what i saw at the start of this thread.
I just thinned the lugs from the side
next one I will also try the top to create the organic slope of the gen
Dumped everything plus a Raffles dial into an alix case after lapping the viet case back into it...this thing has no wiggle, screws down like it is on bearings, and contacts all around the seal seat, as evidenced by the ring around the case back flange.
It came up well and there were no issues at all with the keyless works this time.
Still annoyed about the viet case.

Here’s my 1016 build from two years ago, raffles case, bracelet, dial and sourced thinner style Mercedes hands on eBay. It’s running a lower beat 2813 movement running strong still. My first ever build and certainly learnt a lot.

Sorry fella, I have been down in Victoria for a couple of days.
This one.
The watch is two and a half seconds slow over sixty four hour period, I shall leave it a couple of weeks and then boot it up two seconds a day.
The gloss dial seems to get lost behind the plexi so that the hands and indices look they just float in blackness. Much nicer than matt dials.
It is also worth noting that deleting the date complication seems to have resulted in the movement ceasing to jump around a bit...up one second down two sort of thing. More consistent.
I am really enjoying the two position crown as well, and am pretty sure I am going to settle on this watch for the foreseeable future.
Oh, and I have already scratched the shit out of the plexi whilst helping my brother with moving a fridge and cleaning up his block, so ordered more Polywatch and an extra 25-21 Clark...but will let this plexi age with some grace.
I should also mention that I am very pleased with the Markiemark bracelet...and the alix case isn't half bad either.

Have to say that I am really interested in how you go with thus.My off topic du jour: Seiko NH05 fits perfectly in ladies 26mm case. But the gen dials I bought are too small, sigh. So I’ll either make a gilt dial (I’m thinking a 3-6-9 dial reduced would be super cool).

With a 7836 from Mary, i am really annoyed by the 358 end link, they not fit the case, need a rework, bracelet IS too sharp too, thé clasp quality is better than raffle...
