I have to say that I am heartily sick of rebuilding eta keyless works...though it gave me reason to drop the date complication and change it to two position.

That's why I like the trusty nh38....so tough in comparison
And for what is worth, disposable glasses wipes are excellent for cleaning everything up. And evaporates quickly leaving a clean dry surface.
Ok, here is where I am at with the bivintage case.
The stupid shit put the pendant tube thread in at an angle down toward the case back. There is no way to get the stem (with crown fitted) into the movement without stuffing the keyless works.
Works just fine without the crown fitted, just fine in a Raffles, and in an aliexpress cheapo case.
The stem starts near the centre of the threaded area and pokes out the side of the pendant tube almost touching the bottom of the pendant tube.
I am going to throw it in the bin, then I am going to put everything into the aliepress case with a Raffles dial and put the whole thing down to bad experience. My daughter will take the loss of au $900.
You lot can deal with the little prick if you wish...I am done with dealing with viets.

it's nice to return from holidays and have some stuff to unpack. Like Xmas. Some of this is the result of a sleepless night where I didn't have the absolute control of my wits.... A bit trigger happy...
Be easier to machine or lap the dial seat to the same angle as the pendant thread, screw it...I am in the process of lapping the viet case back to the ali case...damned thing almost screws right down to the bottom of the case thread.

Agreed—it surprises me that the few small changes (additional micro-adjust holes, from 6 to 7; clasp logo; folded-link option) it would take to improve Raffles rep bracelets were not implemented earlier. While they are absolutely useable as they are, consumer savvy has reached a level where I believe he could make a profitable business niche with an upgraded, always-available product somewhere between his current pricing and the 150-300USD sometimes-available offerings out there. I know he has a good communication with members of this forum, which has lead to great offerings recently (6610 and 6350 dials, tropic dials, 1675 case etc.) so perhaps this is the next frontier...
I would pay double or triple his current asking price for a better bracelet
And some 34mm dials are ready to go, going to build a couple Tudors in gen cases and a 5500 or two. These are lumed, will be gilt gloss. They look awesome in person.
One of the cases I just received. Lugs don't look that fat to my inexperienced eye. I'd just try to smooth out the "hump" from the side view.
