Tripdog had done a simlar mod some time ago on a 6538 he custom machined his shim and pressed it into the case. Yours is like a dial spacer between the dial and movement?If you want to put a smaller dial in a larger case you could always use a shim....these come in various sizes, and are thin enough though cut with scissors...
Here is an example of one used before I sourced a Viet rep case for is 369 sub(just to keep it Explorer relevant).

The 1016: The Under Appreciated Thread

It's a large washer /shim that sat on top of the dial....between the dial and the rehault.
So the dial was say 27mm wide, the shim had an inside diameter of 26mm and the outside diameter was cut to fit in the case..say 31mm.

- Should I keep the logo size the same and just remove the "Officially Certified Chronometer"? (option 2)

Im not a big Mcdonalds fan but I do like the idea of how the logo is going to turn out with the gold arches slightly raised compared to the white print. that is going to look sharp. The red is very , red..but the black dial looks good and reminds me alot of the dominoes pizza air kings....given away to performing stores.

Yeah I really like the black more. For Starbucks green is a no brainer, and for Taco Bell, purple, but the red is just too vivid for this dial!
I also feel the association with fast food chain is odd. I still don't understand the real Domini Pizza collab they had in the past

Yeah I need some cool ideas on these. Big corporate brands make sense. The Dominos ones were given to franchise owners which makes sense. I think I'm going with this Baltany as a base watch for the RWI dial. Swap out the clasp, hands and crown and bingbadaboom. Good looking case from a reputable brand, 200m WR, double domed AR sapphire for the vintage look but modern scratch resistance, a nice bracelet and an NH38.
Since it's already a fantasy dial, might as roll with the punches is my thinking.

Yeah, was thinking it's a good use for one of the $30 AliX cases myself. Yeah I was looking at a VH31 watch as well but I can't find any without a lot of engravings.
Addiesdive makes a decent homage watch. I have a quartz Sub in blue by them that makes a hell of a beater.
the caseback engraving is a non issue. Place on an adjustable movement holder to keep the line straight...A few minutes on sandpaper and it's gone.
The clasp can be changed with a branded clasp from Ali.
The only concern I have would be the crown. If screw tube perfect, if press-in it means you need to thread the hole
