Mays uses very soft leathers and the straps are thin and extremely comfortable and soft. I don’t think he triple folds them. (Just in case you haven’t had a Mays Berlin strap before). They don’t need t be broken in but feel broken in already.
I don’t know how gunny’s 74 is but I have had A few gunny straps and they were a little stiffer. More like a traditional what you’d expect for thickness and stiffness.
I know it is tough to capture softness and texture in a pic but all Mays straps I have are the most comfortable straps I have.

im think I will get Mays classic 47.
Not too long. I placed an order and also emailed him asking about a different strap. Because I had an order in, he offered me a 25% discount on the 2nd strap (food for thought if you want a 2nd one). When he replied to that email, he had already started the 1st strap so he got right on it. The order was shipped within a week of placing the order. Then maybe another week for shipping to the USA.

Ok guys, my straps from Thomas Leather Handmade have finally arrived, here's the first one called Vintage Amaretto.
I am amazed by the quality and looks, these are not cheap straps but at least you get really high quality and comfort.

Outstanding. They all look amazing. Each time I looked at the pic my eye caught a different strap. First the black with blue stitching and then the worn patina’d leather on the far right, and then the one in the middle. All Cordes straps look outstanding.
This one just arrive for me today.
It’s a black ammo. I haven’t even had time to play around with it. I punched my single hole and I’ll try it out on different references later.
Woundup thanks for the connect. I am anxious to order another strap already. I wanted a painted blue ammo I’ve seen around made by Cordes but I keep getting distracted and ordering something else. So many straps, so little time.

Hazing - Very nice...! Thanks should go to superspark69 as it was his post in this thread that introduced me to Cordes. I now already have over 20 of his straps with more in the works....
Here are some more pictures of the 3 above - as you can see, I like specifying contrasting linings to add a little colour. The middle strap is actually a very dark blue Horween that has some grey tones in the grain.

N - If straps from DiStefano and Corrigia ever mated, their off springs would look like Cordes. Man these are great
I have a question. Unfortunatley I ordered a Di Stefano Strap with a sewn in buckle in Bronze with a 24mm width. Is it possible to remove the buckle without damaging the strap?
You can always cut the buckle lol. Maybe email Distefano and if it isn't shipped already they could remove it for you.
You can cut it with dremel sanding discs like these but you'll have to be careful not to touch the strap, eventually magnet with something resistant.
