Have you tried either of these two? They can pretty much make whatever you want:Hi, me again
Isn‘t here in the RWI forum any modder, Rolex enthusiast or watchsmith, who please can answer my questions (in the former posting) about compatibility of the cases of a 116519 and a 126529 ?
And what would be needed to realize ‚my project‘ - any new parts or s.th. else, to switch the clockworks/movements to the other case …
Would be very nice of you, if you can help … so if this is possible, I can start with finding/sourcing someone who is able and willing to do the needed works
I mean it is a precious WG watch and I dont wanna give the responsibility for such a valueable work to anyone I dont know or is a ‚beginner‘.
Any tips or recommendations are very welcome (and needed for this) …
I know there is domi, but he has sooo much work to do, there is Johnny Depp who tecnically could work this out - but I‘d like to find someone who has the time now (and not in 6 months) and has the passion to create a imo very rare and unique watch.
Thank you for any helpful notice.
Franz

Taking the movement out of the 12 series case, and dropping it into the gen case is an extremely easy task. unscrew the case back, loosen 2 screws and its outHi everybody
I plan to build the QF daytona v9 (24 hrs) into an older gen WG case. I dream of this build for a longer time
The daytona Le Mans is a 126529 and the case whereto I like to swap the whole clockwork with dial is an older (around 20 years) gen WG case 116519 (I thought just to remove the original watch/clockwork with its dial - so ‚just‘ a change of the two clockworks with dial)
So my question is: Does the 126529 fit in a 116519 case?
And would the new ceramic bezel also fit to replace the 116519 WG bezel?
And last: will the glass Caseback of the Le Mans can replace the genuine rolex caseback without any modding?
I just like the daytona Le Mans so much more with a leather strap (even Rolex doesn’t produce- nobody will believe anyway that I have a gen Le Mans, but I dont care, its for myself only - so what?

)
I have done it already - removed the bracelet and changed to a gen Rolex strap and also a gen clasp …

… but my very deep wish is, also have a gen WG case for it, so the watch feels better of the weight and the look (WG and steel = looking so different, and I cant look at the watch without noticing this difference everytime I watch …
So, does anyone in here know if all screws and stuff and whatever gonna be needed will fit or are (bigger) modifications needed?
Thank you so much for your help,
FelixS
No idea? What’s the difference v8/9? Didn’t know they had 9 versions of this watch??@domiffm is yours the stainless V8, not the V9? Metal color looks like V8.
So V8 and V9 both have the same bezel and dial?
