No idea? What’s the difference v8/9? Didn’t know they had 9 versions of this watch??
V8 not heavy, v9 heavy

Really there's only 4-5 versions but they count the tungsten and non tungsten

So no real difference
Right, and when sized down to a smaller wrist it's more like 137g/162g so 25g difference. Much smaller difference than the 60g gap between a tungsten DD40 and a DJ41.

All your pics led me to pull the trigger on the same non-heavy steel QF as yours. I like the steel metal tone over the white-blueish tone of the new weight gain plated model.

Will swap the bezel, movement/dial, and caseback into a Clean 126509 case to preserve the "Au750" stamp. That eliminates all the QF case issues with the long pushers and poor bracelet/clasp, and eliminates the Clean issues with the dial and bezel.

Agreed.

The weight gains are obviously more like the weight of the original but I much prefer wearing a lighter watch which is why I am so heavily into vintage and also thin Nautilus models on the modern side. The older I get the more I like not overtly feeling I am wearing a hefty chunk of metal, albeit it might come in handy in a fight. The fact I can get a SS Le Mans is very appealing and since I don’t need anyone to think the watch is original it’s a win win for me! I would also have doubts about long term wear on tungsten coated watches, not sure how they would cope with a decent “ding” either and certainly wouldn’t want to pay 20% more for the pleasure. Each to theor own though 👍

SS looks closer to WG gen anyway. The heavy plated one has a white/blue tone that looks more like platinum.
