QF sunburst, standing alone looks awesome but next to Clean its white, has more laser effect, same issue like with the eternal rep vs genHulk dial debate

But the watch on the right (Clean steel case) looks closer to WG...the QF tungsten case on the left is whiter than steel. WG is darker than steel.

So you have Clean dial on the left, QF dial on the right. My issues with the Clean dial are the subdial marker squares are too small and the red "Daytona" font is too dark.

The QF case is closer to platinum with the very bright white. White gold from Rolex has a warm, yellowish hue. QF is way too bright, unfortunately.

There's no plating so it will stay the same colour. Qf hue is like that due to the tungsten.

"White gold" tungsten reps are plated. If you cut into the metal you'll see the dark tungsten alloy inside.

So im assuming, the Gold QF gain weight is not the right color ? Because after reading so many pages, i havnt come across any mention of it

Stick with QF v8/9 "WG" gain weight out of the box ? Dont have the funds for a hybrid build as mentioned on page 66

Yes we are just nitpicking. QF Stock probably the way to go but I always say both have nuances.

No gold rep ever correct. At least get it plated if you can.

I'm tired lol. I'm getting my build white gold plated and I'm stuck between using the CF or QF base

Might just do Clean and shrug.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but you can't re-plate the tungsten rep.

What I heard is replating is difficult but not impossible depending on how knowledgeable your "plater" is, wrapping is feasible.

The plating with tungsten if not done properly can lead to "blotching" or "uneven" surface and color discoloration

Well, ultimately its a matter a preference.
To me the correct dark base colour, the genlike sunburst, the crisp print and the night and day subdials make the difference. The daytona red in flesh on both are darker than the gen and rhe mentioned squares are not noticeable at all. And thats only concerning the dial
All in all enjoying the build i put together, more staisfied with the result, preuming you too, thats what really matters

Dont think so, its quite fresh release also sourcing even simple xlean parts is a pain.
Wont harm asking tho
