3rd watch looks good. I like the color. Maybe the 15 is a tiny bit unaligned

Agreed on the color of third watch but the 15 looks pretty bad in my opinion. I really wanted to accept it after waiting so long, but on the flip side figured, hey after I waited this long, why settle?

I've seen posts on finds in their watch movements. Dirt, pube etc...
i found a grain of rice!

Wow I'm surprised they let the children on the assembly line eat while working! (JK.......bad joke:thumbdown:)

If you order a ZF, which IMO also have the closest-to-gen movement engraving (OP on the KW is too fat, compared to the gen), please be aware that some of the ZF ones have the hour markers on the bezel sitting too low.
Very easy tell IRL. :)

Best, J

@voxx The second watch also has a Seagull instead of 7750

I just caught that ... ... the second watch movement is inverted.

Does that mean the first watch was a 7750 ? ...making it a ZF or was it one of these inverted seagulls I've read about ? (??)

That would surprise me him making an error like that ...the 7750 is a more expensive movement/watch

Yes the first one was a 7750. KW uses both movements. I would always opt for the 7750

Without opening up a can of worms ...there seems to be quite a divergence of opinion on that . .. some people prefer the seagull as being more reliable at the cost of being harder to repair/find parts.
I was under the impression that all the FZ's were 7750 and the KW being seagull.

Another dilemma to ponder while trying to sort out the crooked bezel markers ...as if that wasn't enough.

Still ...it is odd that torro let that slip by ...if I had accepted the first watch I would have gotten a more expensive movement.

I did write to him about my concerns vis a vis him getting rejects and he offered to refund me and let me buy elsewhere ...all the while stating that he got a bunch of KW's straight from the factory and they were all quite tarnished. He assured me that he wants to have me satisfied and that his reputation is important

I told him that I would wait for that perfect watch to come down the line. They can't be all bad ..as long as he is willing to accepts a "reject" until it happens, I will also be patient.

These are tarnished because they have been handled. This is part of the appeal of the 382. If you want to restore the finish when you receive the watch, just wipe it with lemon juice. Please set your expectations correctly.

I'm afraid you're going to be in for a loooooong wait bud. IMO, your expectations are unrealistic. Sounds like Toro felt the same way if he gave up on you.

Indeed I would have taken that second watch if you wanted a Seagull

Btw, I think Seagull movements feel flimsy while operating the crown. The rotor mount is pretty cheap too as you have to press it in place instead of screwing it down

Wow ! ... this thread is 17 pages of people nit-picking every screw apart on countless QC pictures and pointing out 1 crooked bezel marker and saying they'd reject it.
I get 2 sets pf pictures with 2 out of 3 markers crooked on each one and my expectations are unrealistic ? Not to mention a crown sticking out too much.

There have been many QC pictures with very minor details pointed out that I would have taken in a heart beat. When I say "that perfect watch" I mean one that doesn't having any glaring cosmetic issues. I don't think my expectations are "unrealistic".
I am also well aware that these watches tarnish when handled often ...that's the beauty of a Bronzo. When you see 15-20 sets of QC pictures and all of them look relatively shiny and new and the 2 sets you receive look like they've already been around the block a few times is what made me think that perhaps toro was being sent watches that had been around and handles already ...maybe rejected. When he offered to refund me, I see that as a conscientious seller who is looking to offer the best service and product to a customer and kudos to him for that. Some people in this thread have refused 3-4 watches before getting one that met there satisfaction.

Crown sticking out is a serious issue with water tight integrity. All your other comments are your opinion. Its nothing to get upset over. Anyone can choose to nit pick how they feel fit too. its their money and not yours.

Well it looks like this one could be the one.

The 15 is ever so slightly askew but I can live with that if the crown isn't sticking out too much ...I've asked for a better picture showing the crown.

Can someone ( hint hint ...Pure b ) confirm that is indeed a seagull ?

I have read here that a crown not seated closely enough to the body CAN mean that watch may not be water-proof ... is that correct ?
