Cool will take a look. Yes the lever has a very strong hold and needs a little force to snap into place.

I received a second set of QC pictures from torro and they seem as bad as the first set ..only the misaligned numbers have changed from being 15 and 30 to 15 and 45 and the crown again seems too far out from the watch body.

I asked again if he could get another watch and he will get one but it will take another few days. The time period between the first set of QC's and the second was 2 days ..is that a common? I thought the TD's would have a few watches on hand .

The two I received pictures of look very tarnished ....as if they've been rolling around the bottom of the barrel for a while ...
Here are pics of the 2 watches in question.

I'm torn between getting the perfect watch and coming off like a PIA customer but the way I see it ... is that the watch shown on the website is prefect ..nothing crooked and the crown sitting firmly against the body.

As you can see in the back pictures, both watches have the crown quite far away from the body and the ss tube is too visible.

I don't want to accept any watch that the errors will be glaring at me every time I look at it...with the exchange rate it is quite an expensive watch.

Tell me what you guys think.

Looks like the older batch from 3-4 months ago. A better batch is floating around. check back a few pages on here. I would go for the ZF. That's just my opinion !

Those watches come from China
What would you like? Beluga Caviar??

LOL

ALE

hahahaha!

Unfortunately it's true. I've seen dirty movements loose pivot jewels, tape, and hair in KW movements.

Conversely, every noob watch I've ever had has been very clean and high quality. We can only hope noob will someday get back in to the Pam game;)

I thought so also hence my "bottom of the barrel" comment .
Is that worth pointing out to him or would it be construed as arrogance ?

2 days for a second qc pic?
I rejected my first bronzo (cg lever looked terrible) from TS and after almost a week of waiting, I asked when they will send me a 2nd watch qc pics. They said they already got the second watch but had a scratch on the dial and sent it back and waiting on a third watch. They did not inform me about this at all, so I waited few more days for the "third" watch qc pic without ever seeing a 2nd watch. Ended up rejecting this "third" watch too bc of badly misaligned markers. They told me all KW 382 will have this problem and suggested I pick a different watch. So I chose a kw 508. Still havent got my first qc pics for the 508 lol.
Payment sent on 3/22. Patiently waiting.

So 2 days to get a 2nd QC pic is great in my opinion.

Gents... Before you get too upset regarding misaligned bezel markers... Take another look at the picture above. It's a wonder that this proud owner of a $20K gen didn't reject his QC photos:)

the point is, sometimes the little imperfections are the most genuine details of all.

True dat !
But the gen pictured above has only one misaligned marker and it's ever so slightly askew.
I could have lived with just one marker askew but 2 along with the crown sticking out too much is ...well..too much IMO.

The picture on the website shows a pristine everything-is-perfect watch. It would seem to me that's what they are selling and that's what I'm paying for n'est ce pas ?

Thanks for posting the gen pic. Gen looks pretty aligned to me. Eitherway, the rep you got looks good, u got lucky. I don't know why you think people are overly picky.

Here is the first watch I rejected:

The second watch supposedly had a scratch on the dial but I'll never know.

This is the third watch:
