PAM 382 Bronzo - QC Pics allowed Thread

I would not be surprised if this is just a failure at the factory where the cases are produced. The alloy could have been improperly mixed. Making bronze requires following a recipie and I have no doubt that occasionally these guys will run out of "eggs" or "flour" and throw something else in the mix to get the right quantity.

A little off topic... Would it not be possible to find a "correct" crown in steel for the 7750 in the ZF ... and then plate it diy? I could live with a plated crown if it was fat....?

Some KW QC pics. I'm not sure if the cameras color temp is a bit off or this is the wrong case color. Thoughts? Also, looks like my lever is also a different color from cg/case. I'm requesting additional pics. I'm not going to be overly picky considering its a rep but I'd like to make sure I'm getting one that doesn't have flaws that will stand out. This one's not as straight forward as a 111 or 127.

Need some help here guys...

I dunno what happened but I somehow got a stain on the bezel that doesn't come off. It's on the right side of the 30 min mark on the bezel.

Tried ketchup and lemon juice and neither worked...now I'm looking at it really disturbed and sad. has anyone else encountered such problem? Any solutions? Experts please help!

Here's a few more requested shots of the KW. I'm concerned about the pinkish tone. Doesn't seem to be due to the camera white balance. Here's a better shot of the crown and lever (color variation).

Looks good. How did you patina it to remove the pinkish tone? Also, was your lever a little different in color from the case as well?

I would not worry about the pinkish tone - mine had the same but it dissapered after two days of swimming in saltwater.

Cool thanks. Good to hear before I OK it. Now I need to verify that the "15" marker is straight enough to accept.

As I wrote above. When cleaned these really do appear pink. This then gradually changes over time - golden - brown.

sea water did the trick. It was pinkish before, I wouldnt be too concerned about it.

I rejected my kw 382 bc the cg lever looked like a totally different color than the cg and case. Looks like yours is too.. What is that yellow sticker on the cg lever?

I'm waiting for a new watch after the first rejection and my TD now says the second watch they got had a scratch on the dial (this sounds fishy) so they are waiting for a third watch from the factory. It maybe that the new batch has these different colored cg levers.

I'm wondering how much the two (lever and case) will blend in once patina'd to the point where there is no longer the pink tone. If it were any other watch that does not change with age, salt water, etc. I would think its unacceptable. Looking at the color, it seems as if the case will likely shift towards the same color as the lever as did sur101's copy.
