I changed my ordered from only ARF bracelet to a whole ARF V2 watch as so if I find it too shiny in person I can swap the dial and clasp onto the noob v3. After talking to numerous people though it seems like the shininess only appears in certain lights and angles. I wonder if it will be worth swapping once seeing with my own eyes on wrist.

Well, if you decide you don’t need the ARF then send me a pm ;)

So odd as it seems the white dial V3 has taken a step back and black dial a step forward in the last month or so.

This is a black dial QC pic from April 2020

This dial is the best you can find for 116500 black.
Mine is exactly like that, I just added the CF ring and the ARF bracelet. I also had the black ARF 116500, the counters are completely wrong. very fake. fatter than gen and look like foil. Don't change dial on your black Noob v3. Instead on the white 116500 Noob V3 I installed the ARF V2 dial, better for many things.
The reflection of the counters depends on the lighting.

Having just gone through this project - The recent Noob v3 116500 black dials all seem to now have gen like sub dial thickness (judging from all the QCs posted). However in hand, the subdials are too shiny with harsh sunburst. It is true that lighting conditions affect it but it is a bit too much almost like a 116520 dial (compared to my gen 116520 dial) I changed mine to ARF v2 and am very happy with result. The gen 116500 black has a matte finish just like ARF. The only issue with ARF is under certain lighting angles, the sub dials might look a tad bit thicker. Also the ARF print crispness is better than Noob. Attached are QC pics of my watches and the finished product.

Note: This topic is very subjective. Some people love their Noob v3 black dials while some like me prefer ARF. Look at both dials in person and then go with what satisfies your eyes. Good luck mate!!

Just to remind everyone here, your V3, V4 etc is never going to look 100% like a gen Daytona, it’s not a genuine Daytona.. but we have come so far, I had a first lot Noob with the thinner dials (V2 I think) and it was so close to the genuine Daytona, so close.. then I got a genuine black Daytona which is a feast to the eye, really beautiful watch, so even having the gen in my possession I still feel that that white Noob Daytona was just perfect for me to have and to keep, I will try and get a good V3 one sometime after this whole crisis is settled but

I got a 116520 as my first gen Daytona but fell for the ceramic, black is my fav dial, white is good as a second from Noob lolol

Amazing watches, wear in good health!! Having 116520 gen dials, I agree with you about Noob/ARF being close but still far away. The reps (not even ARF) can never reproduce the printing crispness, lume power and the WG marker shine of the gen dial+hands combo. However there is no denying the fact about economic advantages - you get "almost" gen like (provided you go with a hybrid build approach) at a fraction of the cost and no waiting. I have been on the waitlist for 4 years and am planning to forget about gen as soon as I complete my 116500 projects (Black one done, Panda underway).

Wtf they shorten the endlink? This is not how gen looks or maybe it is invisible because of second link?

There is no gap anymore on the updated bracelet.

I don’t know how it looks actually on the gen, I don’t have good SEL Pic.

Maybe srhoque can help

Good catch Mate!! I will check my bracelet (which is post Covid) as soon as it comes back from Jon. Want to make sure if the entire Noob Post Covid batch is like this.

The Gen has a gap. Check out the pics for both old style 78490 bracelet and new style 78590 bracelet.

This is confounding - I rejected a noob V3 daytona a few days ago (dial looked fine, issues with the bezel). I received these QC photos today. Immediately I thought I was looking at V1 fat subdials, which I'm sure are long gone by now. Any ideas what could be going on here?

Yeah there’s nothing wrong with the original watch and you should’ve kept it (bezel easily aligned after). New qc is old dial.
