You're out in left field. I'm not going over and over this, but I will say that:
1st of all, I don't need to own the watch to see that they have not addressed the same glaring issues that were present on the V1. Members like you that continue to dramatize iteration after iteration of the same watch are the reason they even make 27 versions to begin with. You're probably "in the camp" of people that buy into the pre-order BS, causing the subsequent sub-par releases.
I just said in my last post that I sold my BP sub, only a short month after owning it. As far as the lug gap, you've got your blinders on w/ regards to this watch so it's a moot point.
Delusions of grandeur...
Dan,
I would recommend buying one before you go on about the gapped out end lugs. I posted my picture, but comparing pictures on a flat computer screen is the real moot point. Lol
Members like me? What kind is that? Dramatize iteration after iteration? What are you talking about? I held back and haven't posted a single thing about the latest "iteration" of this watch until I owned it. I took a chance and sprung for this one as I heard from a good friend who actually frequents China and knows most of the dealers by first name (Thier real ones) that this would be a good one. Well, it just so happens he was right. It is a good one.
What bothers me is the endless dribble from people who don't own the watches they post about because they either deduced their "flaw" from comparing magnified pictures on a flat computer screen or heard from some one who heard from someone the watch is "Flawed"
The truth of the matter is I have spent quite a bit of money on watches (Both Gen and Rep) and I enjoy it. What I am not, is the guy who thinks for $250.00, I better get a a perfect 1:1 copy of my beloved $10,000.00 watch. I do this for a hobby and to have fun. You're getting way worked up over this brother.
As a general rule, would you rather get information on something you intend to spend your hard earned $$ on from someone who has never seen the item in real life and has no experience with it other than what they read on the net, or would you rather take advice from someone who has actually owned it and or had held it in his own hands?
Pretty basic stuff.
BTW - You were a lot nicer to me when I patiently waited for the Hornback strap you made me for my AP Diver One of the best I have, I might add.
Come on bud, you can afford it. Spend the money on the watch and see for yourself. My mom told me not to trust what they say on the interweb LOL!!!!
Oh, and here is that shot of the watch with the gapped out end links. Or so I have been told....
Maybe me and Al just got lucky...
