C+ stole Clean’s design from the factories that offered Clean their parts, such as case, strap, dial, etc., so Clean replaced all the suppliers.

The name of C+ is also just a free riding on Clean. Clean never had any relationship nor cooperation with C+, and they are not going to get Dandong3285.

There is nothing wrong with what C+ did commercially, but they should be morally reprehensible.
I really like this sort of humor ;-)
One Rep-Factory "stole" the design of another Rep-Factory that "stole" the design from Rolex. And I always thought that in Chinese culture it is a great honor to be copied ;)

p.s.: Great comparison! Thanks for you efforts!

Relatively speaking, VSF is the biggest competitor of Clean, but they deserve more respect.

And to clarify, C+ 3285 is from Shanghai Biaoye factory(they made SH7750), it’s different from the SH3235 Clean uses which is made by Shanghai Jinghe factory.

This is what Clean told me.
So talking about moral and copying designs in this industry is kind of riddiculous no?;) if CLEAN are the honorable knights of design keeping, whats Rolex SA then?;)

I know it's a long shot, but any chance of seeing this part's other side?

This part on the VS3235 was poorly made and known to cause winding issues - the top washer pushes the gear shaft back down into a stem detent to disengage the gear. I ended up making a replacement for it that was thicker. I hope Dandong would make this part sturdier on the DD3285.

VS part on right - it wore out quickly

Gen part

Also note that in your pic below, the gen and CLEAN (DD) parts are dial washers while the SH part is the intermediate winding washer, the very part I was asking about and had to re-make.

You can see in the pic below that this washer is missing from the SH gear, showing how vulnerable it is. It shouldn't be able to just fall off as the center hole should be a smaller diameter than the shaft head flange.

Look carefully at the underside of the SH part you can see that the washer is missing.

Really wondering about that too - but i bet its not updates. Just wait for v2 where speed bumps arent anymore or then maybe v3 when winding issue is t anymore;p

TBH being a closed caseback it doesn't really worry me.
I agree. My comment was more observational than criticism; perhaps it was a question of cost.
It just seemed strange that other elements, probably from different sources, followed the gen part in greater aesthetic detail.

Did you test the power reserve of DD3285 yourself? How many hours did you get?

I’m always a little skeptical as some factories tend to claim power reserve hours beyond the actual power reserve.

They haven't had time yet, these were released literally the day before this post was made, the C-Time crew stayed at work overnight to get this teardown done and photographed, no one had had one for 70 hours when this was posted.

As far I understand, its based on VS3235, added GMT Module, which would mean PR is about 65-72hrs.

So here we are talking about the same 3285 clone than the one inside the newly released C+F series, right ?

Asking because in another post, C+F is noted to house the Shanghai 3285, and I thought that the Dandong 3285 was only going to come with the upcoming VSF GMT release ?
I bought a 3285 clone from a Chinese contact a month ago, I perceived a high quality of materials, I would say that to me it looks exactly like a movement made from VS3235 then transformed into gmt 3285. I can tell you with certainty that this movement I bought accepts bridge and balance wheel gen. you will see many things that this movement has in common with VSF such as the quality of the engravings and the classic serial.

From what I see, this movement I bought is different from what is presented here and from what I see on Jtime

Wow @CTime, thanks a lot for the detailed comparison photos and descriptions. I've watched you mentioned on Reddit and have watched a lot of your YouTube videos. I didn't know you were on RWI too.

I really appreciate the behind the curtains stories too about C+ stealing Clean designs haha. I would love to hear more about stories like that!

46 seconds into the video you pop the crown into position 3, the hour hand moves itself and becomes misaligned.

But at roughly 59 seconds in the video when you're advancing the hands forwards the hour hand seems to jump back a little bit and realign itself.

This picture as an example, the minute hand is at 32 minutes but the hour hand is directly on 4 o'clock (it should be roughly between two hour markers)
The first one is because my coworker moved it when she pulled the crown out.
Second, it's the movement correcting itself, cuz when she moved the hour hand she didn't put it on the right place and directly moved to minute hand, that's also why the hour hand is not correctly pointing at the middle of two marks.
It's not about the movement, we didn't be careful with it, and it's a wrong example on how to use GMT watches:cry:.
Please don't do the same to your GMT, not on any other series and even gens

Are they gonna finish all of the parts that appear unfinished when actual watches ship out?

Ohm, I've noticed my boss, we will do another photographing soon to make up this part

Indeed! I've never thought this would happen to a real world. Damn I hate to say this, but even if you're making reps you should stand your ground.:unsure::unsure::unsure:
