The watch has plenty of flaws. Pizza base, case and bezel thickness, smaller dial, poor moon and dial text print etc. that also really bothered me.
But as I said earlier, I have never seen this iRL,and I have seen some pretty crazy stuff in this equally watch crazy city. Plenty of FP Journes, RMs (gens since reps don't exist for these) Patek Grand Complications, many variations of the Nautilus and Aquanauts, equally rare APs including 16202s and 15202s, dozens of crazy vintage Rolexes including several Paul Newmans, platinum watches,
Personally I knew this watch existed when Austen Chu did the China edition (that BBR has of course but in steel instead of Ti) and I pride myself to know more about watches than your average enthusiast, but even for this perpetual calendar I really had to do a lot fo research to look into the different variations.
My tl;dr point is that unless you get photographed in some major media outlet where the world's experts can see, the odds of anyone IRL even being able to tell which model you have, let alone the flaws are miniscule.
But that said, being in this hobby, the biggest critic knows - ourselves. So as others have wisely shared, just treat it as what it is, a tribute for pretty much 1/200th of the price.
For me the most annoying flaw is the hand base. Especially when you know that better hands exist. But I am still going to get one lol and I might ask a modder to have a look at what is possible to achieve
Looking at the AP site seems like a few of these are fantasy colors. Are there certain dials and combos from the group that have a gen counterpart?

Nope, they are all Reps of existing models ... some of them are special editions for local markets limited to 20 or 50 pieces ;-)

tl;dr: the colors - accuracy aside are based on real counterparts, but case material is not. As JayBee0815 said above, these are very limited edition, as AP loves to do.

Every TD can get them. I heard, they are selling quite good at the moment. Some TD are however quite slow with the inventory of their webshop. Just ask them. I don´t know how you order, I personally never (at least in the last two years ;-)) used the webshop and always orderd via WA or mail.
