I have my doubts that the bracelet is ceramic, as well. Setting aside the odd decision of making a watch that has a steel case and ceramic bracelet, I notice that the BBR has screws. The gen has pins. I don’t know shit about manufacturing ceramic, but I believe it would be pretty hard to thread ceramic to accept screws, which is why gen AP watches have steel holding the ceramic bracelet together.

So either this bracelet is steel, or some Chinese rep maker found a better way to manufacture ceramic bracelets than AP.

I agree with you, on Reddit the general consensus is that it is simply PVD SS.

@Jojhafu : so you actually are sure that the bracelet is Ceramic and the Watch itself is SS ?

I'm not an expert but I did use a magnet on it and it doesnt seem to stick, moreover, theres a tad bit color differences from the main watch casing to the bracelet. The bracelet itself feels really light compared to my other bbr ice blue perpetual calendar and to my zf 15400 which are both steel, I would assume pvd feels about the same and the bracelet here does not like steel at all. I could be totally wrong and I can try other experiment to see if its actually ceramic but my guess from having the watch in hand right now feels about 50/50

It depends.

APSF's glaring flaw is that the week indicator is just a moving seconds hand. For me this is a deal breaker.

BBR has weakness such as being a little thicker (but it's not that thick overall), maybe the movement is slightly more unstable since it's heavily modified, and the chapter ring printing being a tad misaligned, but overall I think BBR is the firmly superior model.

APSF does have advantages, I think their ceramic variants are superior due to material used.

So if you care about the week indicator being functional/still -> BBR. If not APSF is an okay choice. If you pick the ceramic the APSF is better than BBR if you can overlook this flaw.

Apparently, week hand can be modded (it follows hour hand, instead of ticking seconds.) I recently acquired an old JF version with such mod. It’s great. That said, I have no idea how costly and complicated this mod is.

If it can be done relatively easily, ceramic APSF is an easy choice for me.

@Reaps : your points are all true, but for me is the Ceramic costruction the dealbreaker.

I never aquired a Rep so expensive, yet the APSF Black one will be my Xmas present....happy that this Rep world presents us choices !
A watch that is so rare and expensive is Repped by multiple factories, maybe it can seem obvious, but thinking about it....

I mean, the BBR Rep has its place ,for sure.

I originally wanted to go for the APSF CHS version but man having that week counter work feels nice lol, I'm really enjoying my bbr version so far, I think it's up whoever prefer which to live with and for me BBR is perfect, I don't mind the half pvd half ceramic construction, watch feels very nice to wear. I would wear it while sleeping if I could lol
