My dealer said they are making updates but didn’t specify what updates. But that’s why they’re taking so long to release.

I’ve said this many times
Purple is a difficult colour to picture, I strongly believe whoever see a purple in real life on this dial has to check their eyes.
Imho all the purple pictures were bad camera angles or reflections as per TD info they never updated it.

I have asked JTime if he seen any purple and he also said no.

My advice is for people stop overthinking over pictures, just buy it and if not for you sell it.
I’m sure models like this whit so many people waiting would fly out your sale thread….

I don’t believe they did. The dial looks like some of the earlier pictures. I can’t see any updates compared to the early versions over all.

I suspect this updating explanation to be a cover excuse for the delays, because PPF can’t keep up with the demand.

Regarding the purple discussion, it is completely derailed imho.
I have been wearing it for more than a week. Outside, inside, in sunlight, in shadowy weather, inside under spots and under normal light.

I haven’t been able to see any purple in real life.

A thing I noticed is that pictures taken with my iPhone under yellow light looks purple, but in my hand the watch doesn’t at all look purple in that light. So some color change occur in the pictures when taken below yellow lighting.

And I know how purple is. I’ve owned some versions of the early PPF 5711’s and clearly remember how a purple PPF looks like.

Definitely! It's worth mentioning that nowadays, all phone cameras will change colours to make the pictures look punchier. To take accurate photos, you need a calibrated camera and then to actually see the colours accurately on a monitor, you need a calibrated monitor. And yeah, that's just cameras and monitors, lighting will play a massive role too.

Finally a rep with correct crown height. This v2 looks very close to gen.

Is there still a waiting time from TD's for v2? Checking m2m's but nobody is selling theirs, i'm willing to pay premium for this. Guess i'll have to wait.

I don't think many will part from their v2 until v3 with a different dial / moon phase disk color might be released.

People have paid months ago and are still waiting. I paid 2 weeks ago so I’m towards the bottom of the waiting list. I’d be lucky to get it before Christmas.

Patience is a virtue.. almost 1 month since payment received.. made the payment via TT on aug 10 took them awhile to received the money.. but imo i think ppf cant keep up..so dealers are delaying each process to give them leeway...

Both 3KF and PPF are struggling with shortage at the moment. We can only guess why. Either it's not easy to make these clone movements, or they are made by the same supplier. Maybe some issues with legal actions against the suppliers. Who knows.

I've just heard from a WeChat dealer that PPF migh be redeveloping their 5712 v2 rep which might include the dial improvement, too. Fingers crossed but take it with a grain of salt.

This tracks with what I just heard from a modder I have a 5712 v2 with. They said it's possible that it could be in the next few weeks.
