Ohh okay. I asked a dealer for some info and he sent me the same picture (sorry for the bad quality) but it looks like the engravings vary, maybe even different factories making them. I still have hope that they’ll turn out a bit closer to gen.

You can see that the engraving, the jewels and the holes, the shape are a bit different. I'm not a movement expert but this is what i noticed by comparing them.

These engraved plates are horrendous. Thick, messy, wide and very close letters... totally wrong. Better to keep stock.

Also texts are starting from edge of the plate, looks so bad. How can they come up with such a scrap and ask for ridiculous amounts of money.

Thick messy engraving can be acceptable, but text starting from the edge? No

I agree with this. Off course we can’t expect the level of perfection a gen Patek has. But the amount of money they are asking is so high that at least it has to be decent.

Thanks for the video, in addition to bad engravings there is also an eye catching tone difference. Whole movement will look weird with these plates. They have very warmer tone next to other parts because of that nickel plated copper/bronze alloy.

Not expecting something perfectly close to gen but they have to reconsider their pricing or make something better for the price.

I'll keep my movement stock for now. Or i'll swap the plates with an earlier V2 if i can find one on m2m.

I have to say after almost 4-5 months Im surprised there isnt a new version with all these flaws like the moonphase, the dial color, the engraving....
Maybe they are doing it on purpose so the modders can eat, or maybe its just me being nitpicky...

Stock one is also a rep, why are you buying this upgrade then?

It's an "upgraded rep" for the rep. so we expect them to deliver something better for the price they are asking.

I'm not harsh, just saying what i see as a feedback and also a heads up for early birds. This is how they improve their works and deliver better upgrades.

You wouldn't want to be an early bird and get one of these now, then see its dramatically improved a week after you got it. You wouldn't mind if you paid somewhere between $80-100. But it's x3 of that. They ask whole movement price just for the plates.

I'll get one when/if they improve.
