New PPF 5712 with PP240 Super Clone.....

Do you guys think it’s worth waiting for a better 5712 dial to come out or is the swf as close to gen as it could get?

You have to take one important fact into consideration when answering that question.

Even if they made the color as good as the V1 or even better, ppf never bevels the markers.
They are very straight and it doesn’t look right.

Color depends on light and everything. Markers on a gen nautilus has this soft look to them and give depth to the dial.
That isn’t the case with any of ppf stock dials (5712 v1/v2, 5711 all versions or 5726).

Point being. You wouldn’t be able to get a gen like ppf ootb even if you wait. Imo therefore better option would be to mod because the watch otherwise has so many great things and not many important flaws.

Once you mod it you will have a almost perfect rep. And doesn’t need to follow the releases of next version.

Or you could wait and see if a better version is ever is released. With the risk of them going under or not releasing another one. As has happened before with other factories and reps.

Another dial was released, from LB - it's got a green hue that people like but tbh I've got an SW on the way and am very happy with it. It's a matter of preference

Yes i know. It looks really nice but people said its way too blue and the sunburst is too much. I like it more color wise but i don’t think it’s closer to gen than swf

Yeah they'll fix all the current issues of note which will generate excitement and sales, but also backslide on a few others in prep for v4.

I really don’t think this is how it works, it sounds like there will always be flaws because an imitation/inspiration in China costs a fine, but an outright copy is a much more punishable offense.

That’s why modders are great, they complete the watch and the production of those parts employs even more people.

@chewy824 thanks for the photos, this approves my tone difference opinion, not only shitty engraving, this huge tone difference also looks really bad. Movement will look weird when you look at it. Not easy with material they are using but still hope they can fix this too.

It's clear that ordering for this batch is waste of money. Yes you can replace easily when newer one releases, buy why?

No need to be sorry it can be replaced easily when new release launches, it's still a rep and we all have infinite amount of money right?

This is why i don't preorder anything without seeing the final result.
