@KJ2020 , sorry if I missed your post, but a comparison between this ebay case and this BPF watch that you have would be fantastic.
BP Factory Rolex 16710 GMT Full Review VS Gen Greetings fellow watchaholics, as the title states, here is a full review of the BP Rolex 16710 GMT. There are a lot of things to like about this rep, and as you will see overall I gave it a high rating. There are some things which will need fixing...

I just happened to have the same BPF 16710 and its case wasn't too shabby. The only setbacks were that it was for 2824 (which I can fix) and that it may not be able to accommodate gen 16710 bezel assembly (but again, I am building a 16570).
BP made a few 16710 variants. The predominant one has a 2836 ICHS, and it's cheaper sibling has the 2813 (DG3804) ICHS. These are the most common ones ppl have.
BP also made a mod DG3804 CHS which was unreliable, unpopular and wasn't in production or on TD lists very long. Recently they released an SA3186 version, another timebomb movement that no one should buy unless planning to upgrade to a VR.
So in all likelihood you have the 2836 ICHS whose case is not perfectly suited for a 3186. The crown sits too low and some modding is needed to make the 3186 fit in the case. It has the wire clip bezel which is smaller in OD than gen, so it wont take a gen bezel or insert. To convert to a gen bezel, some metal reworking of the outside of the rehaut is needed. The crystal is not gen-spec, it has a straight-edge 30.5mm OD with a very short height and skinny gasket. Gen crystal has a stair-step edge, at 29.5mm OD where the gasket fits. I have fitted a few with gen-spec crystals by using two gaskets but this is not a technique for a Franken. Another HUGE drawback to all the BPs is the very wide chamfers which are very difficult to rework.
In summary, the EBAY case shape is leaps and bounds ahead of the BP, there really is no need to even consider BP for a Franken GMT
Since you are making a 16570, you should have a look at the thread below. This member has done some upgrades to a BP 16570, but this BP model has some differences to the BP 16710.
Always in love with the Explorer II models in general and I was looking for a nice replica of the 16570. Unfortunately the version that Noob produced is no longer available (if i remember well it was expiried about 10 years ago) and factories are now reluctant to produce this specific version...
