So at least I know I need to get a Tissot 861 movement for my gen dial and hands, then a case. I think I'm building mine backward. LOL How easy is it to find the Tissot 861?

Not that easy. Try searching for "Tissot Seastar chronograph" or "Tissot 1873". You're looking for a 1960s/1970s chronograph with three closely-spaced subdials--much like a Speedy. The movement is a Lemania (a REAL Lemania) 1873, which is the same as an Omega Cal. 861.
Ok. So what's the answer? I'm not talking bezel size. I thought we measured watches by case size not including crown. So the gen cases are 42ish mm? My 21j rep is at least 2mm bigger than my Rolex SSD. I gotta get some calipers from my dad to measure.
My point is that the Lemania version I just sold was the same size as my SSD. So my point is that it is too small. If I hadn't already shipped it, I would have shown side by side pics.

What I'm trying to point out (unsuccessfully) is that it seems to be the rep dealers who are measuring in the wrong spots. That's why we read about 39mm Speedmaster reps, and 35mm or 37mm Explorer reps.
So the answer is at the bottom half of the last page. Properly measured, the gen is 42mm and at least one rep is 42mm. Until we get similar measurements for the other reps, we're just pissing in the dark.
Also, I think I've made this point before, but we should probably stop calling the Sea-Gull ST-19 rep a 'Lemania'. Especially now that guys are talking about making frankens with real Lemania movements!

There is one for sale on ebay right now (LINK). However, they aren't all that common (as LHOOQ mentioned). If you build one, post lots of pictures!
Here is the picture you posted previously will all the versions of the reps. They look the same size to me. Or are we talking about something different?
Would an Tssot 871 work? I found a working movement but broken case.

That's a REALLY good question, but I don't know the answer. I suspect it would. The movement strongly resembles an Omega c.321, minus the column wheel. It's like a cross between the 321 and the 861. But whether everything fits and lines up properly...
Well, I'd prepare a cautious bid, anyway.
It's up to 158 already, not sure what a cautious bid would be on a broken watch. How much are the movements generally.

Well at that time all those info weren't available and i didn't know if or how that was possible.
Now that is seems it can be done founds aren't available lol. This would be a future project for sure... I love it!
I think that was the angle of the camera. The 2 on the left (quartz and 21j) are the same size. The one on the right is the handwind and was definitely smaller. That's part of the reason I sold it. Looks to me like the case on the other 2 flares out a little on both sides. The hand wind doesn't. That case is pretty flush with the bezel.
We'll see what Om3ga_guy comes up with.
Also, as far as correct terminology for the hand wind movement... Are they actually Segull movements? I was just calling it Lemania because the rep dealers did.

Looks like i beat you to it, I got dragged into the Speedmaster current a few weeks ago. Should be taking possession of Marks handwind today after work.
Anyone have case specs for the gen moonie? I was under the impression that the dimension were correct on the handwind. BUT, if the crystal doesn't fit...its not a good sign.
