I wonder how the Daytona movement subdial spacing is compared to the speedmaster.

I wouldn't mind the mixed up subdial arrangement 🤣.

And I wonder if there is no way to make a speedy without a functioning Chrono but just running seconds hand .

Maybe new factorys can Jerry rig something

There is one, but 16mm thickness seems to me very off to the gen. The Gen is 13,2mm

@steve_theonewatches is it really 16mm thick? I would buy it, but that prevent me to buy one
I still looks like it has an hour counter @6 instead of a Chrono hour counter. The 7750 based cases are usually quite thick, that was the problem with the old Daytonas.

I dont get it why they slave 6 o'clock couter to hour hand in almost any speedy rep. Would be better if they just left it as a dummy, or why not use 7753 like in speedy racing?

Knowing what there is to know about Moonwatch reps I purchased the moonshine gold moonwatch from the RMF and am very pleased with it. It looks much nicer in person as the camera doesn't capture the brilliance and shade changes of the gold dial. It has become one of my favorites in the lineup and has garnered a few compliments from friends. I never used the Chrono function but simply like the way these watches look. I've never been a Rolex admirer but have started to like the Daytona models and may have to purchase a 116518 with diamonds on the dial.

I love this watch since I tried the Gen last week. Until I have the funds for the Gen I'll ordered the rep.

Do you have the normal buckle or the folding clasp?

I have the normal buckle. I ordered a folding clasp off eBay but it didn't work well. It was 2mm too wide and I didn't bother to correct it as it came from China. I went back to the buckle and I am content with it.

Does anyone know of a dealer who can source an Omega Speedmaster Pre-moon watch?

I know I know. Moon watch reps aren't great. I already have a PO so I want a semi decent Moon watch. Doesn't have to be perfect, just reasonable. What I'd really like though is one with the pre-moon bracelet (or it appears it was only on the pre-moon version). Take a look at the pic. The bracelet is a little different than what I can find from our dealers.

Let me know if anyone has any leads or has one they want to part with.

Hi, I’d have two suggestions for you:
You could either buy a manual-winding Speedy Professional with a ,,Lemania hand-winding” movement (this is basically a decorated Seagull ST-19, which is amongst the most stable rep movements”) or you could buy a Speedmaster Dark(or as in my last post) or White Side of The Moon (depends on the colour you like better). Although others would include the old HRF Speedy Racing reps too, I feel that those pale in comparison to these two. Lmk if you agree with me

Out of curiosity I browsed one TDs catalogue I noticed there is one version RMF with a manual winding lemania movement with a see through caseback, is this a better than the OMF version?

The OMF one uses a modified A7750 (copy & paste of the Valjoux 7750), which has the 3 o’ clock subdial working as per genuine (the 3 o’ clock subdial includes both the hour and minute hands of the chronograph). However, the A7750 is notorious for being quite unreliable, and I doubt that such a modification would make it even more stable. On the other hand, the so-called “Hand-wound Lemania” is just the Sea-Gull ST-19 (I can’t remember it’s exact caliber number, but they use the 3 subdial variant, where the 6 o’clock subdial hand just mimics the normal hour hand). I hope this will help you decide!
