Construction made from a dhgate base with the @NCRich tuto that I often wear and gen. I'd love to do it again with a base closer to reality.
Is there a white moonwatch availible out there?

Yes. I think the first factory making an accurate Moonwatch movement will sell a huge number. I cannot understand they don't see the market possibility.
Everytime I warm up to the idea of this OMF speedy with wrongly placed subdial, then I remember that the hand on 6 subdial is actually linked to the hour hand, deal breaker.
I have the speedy racing 40mm, all subdials placement and functions are correct. Excellent rep but bracelet isnt too good - sharp edges and the clasp is hard to engage, you need to push it against a bulging part of the wrist.

I'd love a white dial speedy. I have the gen black dial speedy and love it. I saw the new white dial speedy and i just didn't get the same feeling as I did with my black dial speedy. I want a rep to see if I can grow to like it over a period of time before getting the gen. I thought of getting a rep but the subdial spacing absolutely stops me from getting it. Not only the subdial spacing. Something about the case shape, bezel etc seems to be wrong though I can't put my finger on it.
I also have a gen racing 40mm. I believe the reps are bang on there except for the date change mechanism?

That is what TDs tell me. If it was THAT popular, factorys would invest in releasing a clone movement (which is a investement thats high 6 figures) and cash out.
Because the market just isn't there.
Look at the gen situation and compare to the Daytona (which similarly has required the making of a complex clone movement to get an accurate rep).
If I want a Daytona I'm still even now getting 150+% of MSRP out on the secondary market, an AD is laughing at me.
If I want a Speedy the AD will do me a discount, and credit, there and then, and next door there is a secondary market on for way less than 60% of MSRP (and I'll get a £350 gift card) and the watch is (relatively) cheap in the first place.
A new Daytona rep from a TD is not a cheap rep, is the market there for a near £1000 rep of a watch you can pick up gen for <£4k?
Let's face it, any one here who has half a dozen quality reps had already spent Speedmaster type money on watches. If we really want one, we can get one.
Or look at M2M, Collectors Corner in particular where fake Daytona's go for more than gen brand new Speedmasters! And rep Speedmasters go for a couple of hundred $$.
I'm not getting down on the Speedy, I've got an OMF one, and two MoonSwatch's, but they are not popular like some here think.

That sums it up perfectly unfortunately. I have so many rep speedies if I sold them all I could probably buy the gen with the proceeds or at least be half way there.
I agree. While there are quite a few people who would buy a proper rep, I don't think it'll be financially sensible for them.
It's a damn shame though, but I get it. 7k retail and they'll discount it to 5 or 6k upon buying. Yeah, why bother making nwbig?
