Want to build a specific 1675 gilt dial
And a zerograph !

Just learning about Rolex history and never had seen this ... dial seems straight forward, what would you do for a case and that bezel .. wow

funny thinking the same thing .. prototype dial issued by singer to Rolex .. total albino ..sub dials are flat as well ..so doable

Please don't beat me up. I've read the majority of posts but there are over 300 now. Is there a consensus about which waterslide paper works best? I think I might be ready to jump in now that I have a new printer.

Do you know where a I could get a black rolex submariner dial that will fit a seiko 7002?
Twice the same post here + once on another thread !!!
Cool down ... are you in a hurry ??? [emoji23]

As one can resize the templates before printing then you can virtually adapt any of them to any watch.
On a 7002 the date window will be outplaced but it will a fantasy watch anyhow so who cares about a misplaced date window.
The problem will be to source a 7002 spare dial if you dont want to ruin your original dial ... but it can quite easily be custom made from a copper sheet.
At the moment I'm working on a "zerograph hommage" project for my Seiko 5 Sports diver ... definitely a fantasy because of the day-date window.

You sure you don't want to change that username?

One of the easiest ways to get a sub dial for a 7002 is probably through yobokies... but that's completely unrelated to printing a gilt dial.

One of the easiest but not cheap at all.

About the username ... If 69 refers to the size it seems accurate [emoji23]

Sorry bob
Dont know if there is a consensus but the one I use is HOLI ... very good quality IMHO.
I also use :
- MICROSCALE DECAL FILM to prepare the waterslide after printing but before transferring
- MICROSCALE COAT after transfer (with a brush but perfect surface finish)
Hope this helps

You can also varnish the decal before you apply it to protect the ink

This is the most important as it 'sucks' the decal into the dial so to speak .. it always and texture detail to be highlighted, on scale models it will pull the decal into creases or rivets in a model plane for example ...
