Nice ! How was the dial plate ? Brassed and you print black & white, or white and you print black ?

Is steel mandatory for the printing plate ?
Or can it be brass ?

OK ... so "spraypainted" vs "printed" (but I see you already mentionned that).

I suppose the process is :
1 - place the printing plate on the machine
2 - spread the ink on the printing plate and clean the non-recessed parts
3 - push down the plastic head to get the ink on it
4 - place the dial under the inked plastic head
5 - push the plastic head on the dial to print
6 - let the dial dry out
7 - repeat process for each colour
So the pattern on the printing plate is recessed and "one pattern for each color".
OK ... so "spraypainted" vs "printed" (but I see you already mentionned that).
Some more questions ... if you dont mind :
1 - thickness of the plate ?
2 - overall dimensions ?
With enough informations I could make a template for an etched brass plate and ask my maker if he would agree to make some.
BTW ... I suppose you use 1 plate for each color ?

How was that made?

So ...1. & 2. my plates are 50x50mm -10 mm thick!
For informations regarding pattern (eps/Illustrator vector file) Bart is the man!
And your right, 1 plate for each color - important: a center point etched in the center of each pattern, 0,3-0,5 mm in dia!

So ...
Let's suppose that the maker I know agree to etch some Rolex dial patterns on brass plates :
- 50x50mm
- 0.5mm thick
- etched 0.25mm deep
an that I send you those plates.
Do you think you could print dials ?

I'm quite sure I cant get any 5mm thick.Hi, plate must be minimum 5mm thick, 10mm is better! Otherwise I habe to build a special tooling to keep the plate in place![emoji1303][emoji41]
But I think it's not e problem to print from such a plate!
