Clean Factory vs BT Factory - 116500 Panda Daytona - Updated

The latest version from Clean factory with a DEEP crystal swap is the best option although a stock ZF or BTF isn't bad either. You really can't go wrong with any of these options.

I would have agreed with you a year ago, but with the refinements that Clean have made since then, and being able to easily switch to a Deep Crystal have changed my mind.

- I expected and hoped that BTF would have released a V3 to answer Clean and finally fix their Shinny sub-dials, but they haven't.
- My first choice would be a BTF with a Clean Black Dial but that would add a lot to the cost.

Clean with deep crystal

imho, everyone always overcomplicates BTF vs Clean. You could flip a coin or get a monkey to pick for you. In the end it's a fake watch and both are great watches. And to the majority of people noone will even fathom the difference between the two.

You haven't even seen the watch, why are you going crazy with BTF v2 then Clean v3 dials? It's batshit

Something I noticed on this crazy panda journey… I’ve had maybe 3 or 4 Clean v3 dials, 2 Clean v2, 2 Clean V1, 2 ZF, and 1 BTF. There is SO MUCH variety between batches of the same version. For example, I’ve compared multiple v3 dials and just landed one with a nice cream touch. But the other ones were really grey.

Conclusion: only way to get a perfect dial is to buy whatever dials you can find and narrow it down one by one. Even there you’ll be finding differences that no one in their right mind would notice lmao

I stand by my statement that ZF has the best dial OOTB, and Clean v3 is still a decent option since everything is correct other than the grey tint to the dial. BTF just blows: fat subdials, flat and lifeless white tint to the dial, and the case looks like it’s been on a diet.

ZF is great because the case takes gen/BTF/Noob pushers, which the CF cannot. I think this whole SH4130 fear is overblown. A DD4130 also might not have a chrono that resets to 0 each time. Look through the forum, no one has posted (to the best of my knowledge) any incendiary story of an SH4130 movement crapping out.

I have a new ZF 116500 with an SH4130 movement which was purchased from InTime. It has a strange issue where it gets stuck at 12:27 every 12 hours. When the watch is worn or fully wound, it doesn't tend to happen. But if I leave it in my watch box, I'll always come back to it having stopped at...

This is the first I am hearing about too fat sundials on BTF and the BTF out of the box has a better case than the fat same shaped clean from what I have seen and read. Can you elaborate? I am about to pull the trigger and it seems like the BTF is the winner without mods and the better movement.

Had a BTF V3 for a minute and it looked just like this. Subdials were just way too thick. Wonder if it was just a bad batch that people were getting or if BTF actually thought the V3 was an improvement on the V2 haha

I wrote "My first choice would be a BTF with a Clean Black Dial..." a week ago based on some other Members insisting that BTF had a better Case/Pushers/Caseback/Crystal/SELs and supposedly a cleaner, smoother winding DD4130 Movement.

A couple of days ago I received my latest Clean V3 Black Dial with a Deep Crystal. After seeing it in person, I would now say that with all of the refinements and small changes that Clean have made to this Version, putting a Clean Black Dial in a BTF case would not be worth the extra effort and cost. For a Black Dial 116500 Clean V3 + a Deep Crystal is the best choice, in my opinion.
- The Hands are better now.
- The Sub-dials are the correct thickness and Matte Silver
- The SELs are Perfect.
- And the DD4130 Movement sets and winds "like butter".

So you can disregard what I said last week, and now the BTF guys can take a few shots at me...
