My supplier doesn’t have CF so I need to Gen vs CF vs BTF comparison
Comparison doesnt exist lemme try and find you some BTF and Clean pics

But my consensus is if you're not switching dial Clean > BTF

Recent BTF QC (not mine, posting for reference): look at those fat subdials!

In terms of case shape, it’s ZF>CF>BTF. I have a gen case here which I’ve compared them to.

Is there any update on this? When comparing several current BTF and CF QC pictures there does not appear to be any noticeable difference in subdial thickness. Do you mean the inner white diameter or the thickness of the surrounding black ring?

I would like to buy 116520 with white dial, but prefer the panda dial on the 116500. Is it better to buy 116500 and
change to SS bezel, or buy 116520 and swap the dial?

I have a contribution that might be helpful to everyone. Was able to get my hands on a CF V1 and compare to a brand new CF V3 (both have deep crystals installed).

The dial color difference is very apparent in-person. The V1 dial is much whiter than the V3. Almost like a pale bright white as compared to a cool grey. The V1 color is closer to a BTF V3, but with much superior dial printing than BTF. The bezel on the CF V3 is noticeably more whiter and refined.

I’ll preface this with the fact that I have not had an opportunity to compare to gen like others have. So while the V1 might look better to my eyes, it could be more bright white than gen. In the photos the V1 is to the left and the V3 is to right (stickered).

Took these pretty quickly but happy to upload more in different lighting and outdoor lighting.

Edit - I'm only comparing the dials here since they both have the same crystal / lighting conditions. I do not have the expertise or background to compare other components (i.e., case measurements).

Yep, but I also picked up a really rare CF V3 that has more of a beige tone than grey. Must have just been a good batch. I decided to go with that one.

Yeah people forget how different these watches can look just because of batch variations. It's so hard to compare from the photos you really have to see them in-person. I wish I knew somebody with a gen that I could compare to. Don't love the idea of wearing a rep panda and looking at a gen panda at an AD or grey market shop hahaha

Not worth it. BTF have 2x ar crystal as the deep has.
Is btf uses deep crystal too? Or not just the same 2AR, i have a problem with the btf xtal it easily scratches..is deep if ever has a stronger AR coating? Tia

Cant say bro, i have no scratches on my crystals, But all 2x ar crystals will scratch if you are careless with the watch. So Maybe you should go with gen or a NOOB crystal? Not realy the same clarity but they have ar coating on the underside so you will not scratch it :)

I have both BTF and Deep xtals in multiple watches. None of them have scratches. I use a soft Zeiss lens wipe or Zeiss mobile device wipes to clean them. Quite a few of them are over a year old and still look great.

Do as people are suggesting take good care of them and be mindful of your wrist. Easy enough.

Mine’s not deep scratches but tiny hairline scratches only, you will saw it when you put light near the xtal, but in naked eyes you cant see,
