its not gen spec but its no big deal once you get the hang of it. On the bright side you know it will never just pop offi need to try this too.

do you pop the whole assembly off with a knife? or do you do the remove insert method?its not gen spec but its no big deal once you get the hang of it. On the bright side you know it will never just pop off

you really need to tell me how you get that bezel color
and don't tell me it's that "magic secret liquid" again
cut out the false modesty actYou guys are causing me to be "pre-disappointed" in my own 5513, which I am still a ways from starting. Great work, beautiful builds.
x2 lolcut out the false modesty act
we all know yours will be glorious
It's a saying I heard a long time ago. I asked my prom date if she was excited about going with me.x2 lol
pre disappointed that's a new one
dang!! lol when expectations are rock bottom, they can only improveIt's a saying I heard a long time ago. I asked my prom date if she was excited about going with me.
If it doesn't try killing me 20 years after the build, I'm pretty sure you're correct, lol.dang!! lol when expectations are rock bottom, they can only improve
I am almost certain that your 5513 will turn out better than your prom date

Sorry to interject but...i think you might be right @Karbon74@369mafia
how would you compare the build experience of using Raffles parts vs a JKF base?
The Raffles dial being bigger, does that affect the watch proportions? or is the extra diameter "hidden" ?
I was thinking of using a 5513 dial from Raffles in a JKF case, but shaving 1.5mm on the perimeter looks like it would eat into the markers
To be precise, I think the shaving might stop short of the markers but they might go under the rehaut of the caseSorry to interject but...i think you might be right @Karbon74
1.5mm looks pretty close on those dials...a shame :/
Forgot about the rehaut...yeh i'd say it's a no go really. You'd think that given the JKF case is pretty accurate to gen; in terms of dial size specifically, if the JKF factory got their hands on a gen case and shaped it propery without the need for modders to the do it, just think what they could attain in the community!
Accuracy at a very reasonable price...they would sell like hot cakes i think
